Good comfort food - MEATLOAF!

There were a lot of selections to be made from the menu but I just couldn't get past the meat loaf. I wasn't disappointed. It was tender and tasty. My only negative comments could be that there wasn't enough gravy. The portion size was not very large, either. If you have a big appetite, it... read more

I have always had a great experience with service and the quality of the food has always been excellent. Great wine list, with a variety of wines and prices. The Wine Bar upstairs serves tapas style food and it is so tasty, a gourmand's heaven. The downstairs dining room is equally excellent, but not ideal for sharing or trying a... More

This is a great place for lunch, wine and cheese, and Happy hour. I like stopping here during off hours for the quiet and the spectacular view of the Three Sisters. I am usually stopping here on the way to or from somewhere which means I have not stopped for dinner but many times for appetizers or lunch.

The haughtiness of staff towards elderly people was appalling. I had one sip of house white wine - it tasted like vinegar. My husband was served beige onion soup with a hunk of dough in middle We complained and were treated rudely so we had no choice to walk out. We felt humiliated!

We have visited Sage about 1/2 dozen times over the past year or so. The menu is interesting and offers more choice than many. Unfortunately, although the food preparation and quality remain mostly reasonable (one dish was sent back to the kitchen), service has deteriorated and staff/management attitude dismissive of raised concerns. We won't return any time soon.

We had a nice dinner at the Sage Bistro. We ate downstairs (menu's are different upstairs and downstairs). The food is nicely presented, and was very tasty, but a few items were on the grill too long and had some blackened spots on them (see pictures). Still the food was very good. Service I would judge as normal, not fast,... More

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been dissatisfied. We had our staff Christmas party there in December 2015 and the food, service and wine selection was awesome. Would highly recommend it.

We gave Sage Bistro a try and did not regret a minute. The greeting by Anna was very friendly and warm, her service superb and the food excellent. This restaurant definitely belongs to the top 5 in Canmore. We will be back for more.

We had breakfast at Sage and were very impressed. The location has plenty of parking at this quaint and rustic location. We shared the "Trainwreck" platter which came with four eggs, 3 sausages, 3 strips of bacon, 3 slices of back bacon, 2 pancakes, banana bread french toast, fruit bowl, potato hash, cherry tomatoes and toast with home made jam....
