The service was great! Staff was super friendly and the food was actually pretty good too. But after a few drinks I think everything tastes great! Pub food is pub food. Chicken wings, dry ribs and nachos really hit the spot on a Friday after working all week so if that is what your craving you cant go wrong!

This has to be one of the best pubs I've ever been to. The service is amazing; it's not difficult to immediately feel like one of the family. I have quite literally never met a staff member that I didn't like. They've humoured my (unnecessary) needs to cover my drink seeing as I'm from a larger city, and have spent... More

Good food, great selection of beers on tap. We went for lunch twice in a one week stay last winter and would definitely go back!

No loud music at the Rose. And the traditional fare is served until midnight. Best place for a pint and to catch up with friends or play pool in Canmore.

Great lunch. Mushroom soup and garlic bread. Very nice. Clean, good service. Price was right. Not enough parking, but that can't be helped.

Our table of 8 ordered a variety of items from the menu. So rare to find genuine Irish Stew made with lamb. Absolutely delicious. My husband raved about his cottage pie, too. We all enjoyed our meals. The chocolate hazelnut creme brulee was the crowning glory. Forgot to mention the service. Our server was efficient, friendly, and service was quick.... More

We visited the Rose & Crown for lunch last weekend. Everything was super. Our server was so prompt and my hungry irritable kids didn't have to wait long at all, for their meals which they devoured. The wings are always really tasty and perfectly cooked. We always stop in here when in Canmore, there is a pub section and a... More

We arrived on a Sunday night at dinner time. The waitress exclaimed that she was really tired and just wanted to go home. Then she advised they had run out of cheese and a few other menu items so we ordered the basic beef burger. It was very good and reasonably priced.

Don't be put off by the rather shabby exterior, as this pub gives you a warm, friendly welcome with great food and service. If only we could have sampled the patio with a view - we visited on a freezing (by UK standards) evening in 8 inches of snow. A very unseasonable downfall in early September!! I had the Steak... This place doesn't look like much from the front.. but enter and to the right is a pleasant restaurant. They have a lot of british favourites. I had the Bangers and Mash and my husband the Steak and Kidney Pie. Both were made with locally sourced goods as the waitress explained to us. I can't even tell you how good... More
