My family and I were in Canmore in late August and decided to check out Valbella Meats as we weren't very hungry at supper time. We got 3 sandwiches to go and they were delicious! I would highly recommend this place. They have cheeses, jerky, sausage, soup, perogies, pies etc. It all looked wonderful.

Based on the rating here we went here for lunch when we arrived in Canmore. We had a fantastic sandwich, then bought all our meat for the bbq while we stayed there. We ate as well as we would have in a restaurant for a fraction of the cost. The butcher shop is great and in some cases is actually... More

We had their wonderful home-made soup for lunch, it is the best. It keeps bringing us back at least once a week. Their deli products are just the greatest, their selection of prepared, ready to cook meats is tremendous, we usually buy the pork schnitzel, and bratwurst, they make economical and nutritious meal. Keep it up, Walter and family!

Seriously amazing! From their delicious cured meats, to their delectable salads. This is one of the greatest bodega style cafes I've ever been to. Do yourself a favor and go here.

This is really a place where most people shop for meat, and has a small area and a couple of picnic tables outside to eat on as well. My husband and I both picked a couple of sandwiches from the board and grabbed some chips from the rack and a couple of drinks from the cooler. Nothing special but good.... More

Although there is a little restaurant, each time we come here, we come to buy a few packages of their in store made sausages. The pork and cabbage, etc are excellent. Prices on luncheon meats are better than the big box stores in town as well so grab some for your sandwiches before you leave. Valbella is a stop for... More

Had a pork schnitzel sandwich. Terrific!! Then we bought egg, bacon to cook for breakfast. The girl gave me some butter to cook the eggs. Service outstanding! Food outstanding! Very warm and comfortable environment. Wish we had a BBQ to cook with or we would have bouggt some of the raw meats to cook! This place gets a thumbs up!!

I really miss their deli in town but I often make the trek out to the Elk Run industrial park to pick up sausages or bread. Well worth the short drive. We have had turducken from them at Xmas, which was incredible, worth ordering at least once in your life (it is understandably a tad expensive compared to turkey).

Think of all the game meat you've ever wanted to try like bison, elk and buffalo. You can get them all here. Grill them up. Add some sauce and/or marinade. Enjoy. Trust me, you will.

First this would be a Deli but oh such a fine Deli. We were staying at the falcon crest just down the road and came over for Barbie stuff. We got Some Skewers of Lamb, Bison and then some Duck liver pate. it all worked and was amazing. Next morning we got some croissants and sandwiches for the road. it's... More
