We had high hopes for this place based on all the positive reviews. The potatoes with chorizo sauce were tasty. However, some of the plates we ordered were mediocre at best. The scallops were bombarded by orange zest and salt, the crab pot was one note, and again salty. We did enjoy the asparagus a great deal and I cannot... More

It was our first night in Canmore and we just found this restaurant by accident. It was crowded, but we were lucky to get a table for 2. Minutes later and that would have been impossible - and than we would have missed a very good dinner. The menu does include a great variaty of tapas. The service is very... More

Our first night in Canmore we went to Tapas based on reviews. The food here is excellent! We sat on the patio, and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Get there early!

We love Tapas restaurants - we go whenever we find them. So we had to try the tapas restaurant in Canmore during our visit to Banff. We were not disappointed. We showed up without a reservation and fortunately they could seat us right away. The sangria was refreshing. The service was zippy. The food was tasty and unique. The feta... More

I've had the pleasure of frequenting Tapas several times while visiting Canmore this summer. The atmosphere is always relaxed, the staff is friendly, inviting and knowledgable, while the high quality of the menu offerings keep me coming back. Certainly my goto restaurant when in Canmore, I'm already craving another portion of the Basque lamb stew!

We arrived at 9:40pm expecting our party of 5 to be seated. The host made us rudely made aware that the kitchen was closing in less than 10mins and they weren't prepared to serve any more customers because the restaurant manager felt the kitchen staff had been overworked through the day and he was looking out for their well being........ We booked ahead of time and arrived to have our table waiting. The ambiance was, of course, Spanish with a warm decor. The waiter was very hospitable and service was good. We ordered several tastings: the Tostada's, Chorizo with sweet and sour figs, Meatballs, Scallops and dessert. The scallops were very tasty but overall some tastings didn't seem to mesh... More

We arrived before the restaurant filled up and initially had great service. After more tables were full, the wait between courses lengthened considerably. When our salad finally arrived (as the last of the dishes we had ordered), we had decided to have coffee and dessert elsewhere as we were so tired of being ignored. However, the first half of the...
