Oted most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies, we are tucked off Main Street Canmore in a charming character house. Tapas offers the lively fusion of Spanish and Old World flavours created by our kitchen team. We have designed a menu of specialty dishes that are prepared to order from the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces and desserts are made by our Chef Dan Purvis in house. Our menu offers gluten free and vegetarian options. Share several plates amongst friends in the intimate dining room with Spanish style murals and high back leather chairs. We also have an eclectic attic with slanted ceilings and low windows which is great for small parties. Don't forget to visit us in the summer where you can enjoy tapas on our Mediterranean- style deck with lovely al fresco ambiance. And most importantly, be sure to try our house made Sangria (white or red) or choose a lovely Spanish Cava or wine from our Wine Menu. Want to bring your own wine, we offer a $20 corkage fee as well.

One of our favourite spots in Canmore

We've been to Tapas many times, and I don't think we've ever been disappointed with the meal. On our most recent experience we ordered the charcuterie & cheese board, and both agreed that it's the best one in the town! Some other favourites include the chili gambas, the patatas bravas, and the... read more

My husband and I went to Tapas' without reservations on a Saturday not expecting to get in but we got a nice table for two and the experience was great from here on. The Red Sangria is heaven, we ordered beef Carpaccio, pepper shrimp, potato diablo, pistachio crusted cod, bread - this was all plenty for the two of us.... More

From the "Tostados" appetizer, the hot tapas and up to the Capuccino, everything was excellent ! All ingredients were quality food. Moreover, we tasted the best Sangria ever: we even reordered another half a liter !! The service was good and friendly. The romantic decor reminds Spain with wall paintings and accessories. In order to have a full Spanish experience,... More

I recently went to Tapas for dinner on a girls trip to Canmore. All of us had been to the restaurant before and had really good experiences, which is why we decided to go back. Unfortunately, this was not the case this time. One of our biggest complaints was that we were seated upstairs, which is a very small attic-like... More

Hi Robin, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with fellow diners. It is too bad that you did not enjoy your visit this time and I have made notes in your reservation history to not seat you upstairs. it would be difficult to inform all reservations in advance of where they are sitting as the process... The food here all serve as small dishes like appetizers. They all tastes pretty good. I personally love the eggplant mousse and the goat cheese enchivore the most. For the cheese and salami combination, I usually do not like blue cheese but their blue cheese is so good. This is a fairly pricy restaurant as all dishes comes in small... More

We came here in the early evening without a reservation and the only seats were at the bar. It was a little bit awkward as the bartender was not particularly knowledgeable or overly personable (in all fairness, I think she was quite new), but a very experienced and knowledgeable gent by the name of James saved the day. He was... More

Night out with 'out of towners' who are wine connoisseurs. Restaurant selected partly because Weds they have a zero $ corkage fee, hence was able to economically bring bottles of favourite wines selected to compliment the online menu which we reviewed prior . Hope the restaurant can keep the chef as very good food with pleasant and knowledgable servers. Restaurant... More

Hi Terry, We certainly don't want our guests being on the "hot seat." Thank you for your review and we love wine and always look forward to seeing what our guests like to bring in on our "Wine down Wednesdays." Tapas is an charming Old Miner's House and with that it has it's quirks. Best regards, More

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and had a great experience. All the plates we had were wonderful, sangria was great, and desert was awesome! Lovely Place and servers and the price was totally worth it.

Tapas is really great. Everyone gets to choose something to share and we all enjoyed a wee bit of a vast selection of wonderfully made food. The service was excellent and the ambiance of the place made it feel truly special. A real Canmore gem.
