Yummy clam chowder

We stopped by there for a late lunch after an event at Tradex. It was fairly quiet that day so we were able to chat over lunch and beverages. I ordered the clam chowder and was favourably impressed. It was nice and thick with a good portion of clams in it. The price was a it on the high end... read more

Ever since the previous owner sold (Dean?) this has gone down the tubes. Removed all their unique meals (ribs with homemade cornbread) and replaced them with standard pub fare. Boring. Service is terrible and the place is vacant most of the time. Too bad. Maybe hire back the old chef/cook who had the great menu items and this place may... More

6 of us went for a dinner prior to attending the motorcycle show. The waitress was unable to tell us what type of wine they carried, took her a 1/2 hour to take our food order and an hour to get our meal served. The soup that two ordered was brought the same time as the main meal instead of... More

Food here is pretty good, however the owner/manager is not. There was only one server working when we were there. She was serving and bar tending. Witnessed the owner manager look at food on the pass thru and just walk past rather than spend the 2 minutes to deliver the food to help out the server.

I had heard good things about this place - however, on Saturday was extremely disappointed. I went as a group of four people. The waitress cleaned our table as we sat down at it (she said she had just gotten a rush of people - there were exactly 3 tables with customers at them when we got there). She brought... More

Because this food is terrible. And expensive when you consider their $16 "sandwiches" are served with poor meat on tasteless hot-dog buns. avoid this barren wasteland at all costs.

This place used to be a favorite of mine, until the most recent ownership took over earlier in 2014. It’s been pretty weak since then, but today pushed me over the edge. My brother and I grabbed a table and placed our order for a beef dip and a pulled pork sandwich. There were two other tables being served at... More

We stopped here on our way home from White Rock, because we "loved" coming to this place any time that we were in the area. What a mistake that was. Flies everywhere, and the food was absolutely horrible! The "chowder" wasn't even chowder, it tasted like old cream of vegetable soup that has been reheated over & over again. It... More

Last year we went to The Baron for a Mother's Day brunch. The mothers were all treated so special. So we went again with a group of eighteen. There was no mention of Mother's Day at all. Our meals were sitting under the heat lamp for the longest time. Even when we ordered at the same time, I waited fifteen... More

Three of us went to The Baron's on a Thursday. I had ordered clam cowder to find out that the chowder is not made fresh but rather that it was canned. In a province where fresh seafood is readily avaiable this place served canned soup. The soup arrived curdled and barely lukewarm. There was a beef steak and a clubhouse... More
