This quaint little place has the best fish and chips in Cornwall and we'll worth the visit . Price is right and serving size is right.

I've eaten here twice and agree with most reviews that the portions are enormous and so, better to share a plate and reorder if you want more. I've had the cod, halibut and haddock among myself and my family. We find the batter crisp and light but a bit tasteless. The fish is okay. I believe it is cooked from... More

Fantastic delicious Fish and Chips, need I say more. This is not an upscale restaurant, leave your snootiness at the door and settle in for authentic fish n'chips. Hard to find places like this anymore.

Just brought home an 2 orders of fish and chips (Cod/Haddock). The fries were limp and very brown. From my experience working in a fast food restaurant, this means old grease. The fish, although large portions were mostly consisting of very greasy batter. I do not recommend this as quality food.

I had to try Yeolde English Fish & Chips after reading the reviews. We ordered a Cod and Chips and a Fish and chips. Both were amazing and cooked perfectly. The fries were also delicious! Highly recommend.

I have frequented ye Olde Fish & Chip Shop for many years. I have tried other places for my fish fix, and while some are good, none can hold a candle to this place. The portions are extremely generous, the fish light & tasty, the batter simply amazing. You can get a variety of types of fish, scallops, shrimp, mushy... More

My husband and I went to Cornwall to see the Classic Car Show ( which was fantastic by the way ) and we ate at the Ye Olde English Fish & Chip restaurant. We each had a huge plate of fish&chips ( halibut, only the best for us ) that we could not even finish ( thus: doggie bag ).... More

We go here regularly for the perfectly cooked fish and chips. However, as a bonus, we've discovered that they make the best onion rings we've ever had. This restaurant has spoilt us from having them anywhere else. Try 'em, you'll like 'em!! As always, the service was fast and friendly.

We were in the area around dinner time and were looking for fish n chips. Took us a bit to find it but we managed. Took others advice and split a two piece order and it's a good thing too! No way could we have eaten a whole two piece each. Generous portions and awesome food. A LIGHT batter on... More
