This is such a quaint little place. Home-cooked meals and the most delicious pies you've ever tasted. Batter fried fish of all kinds are available and there is always a special of the day, like roast pork dinner or ribs etc. The place is decorated in anything nautical with fish nets adorned with starfish, crabs, fish, etc. You can also... During a difficult time we went to eat after seeing this place in the paper. Looked a little sketchy but the food was amazing. Best chowder I have ever had. Fish was amazing. So much food had to take leftovers. Nice people there.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice with my family that lives in the area and can't wait for another trip east to visit again. My dad has followed this business through several moves and knows the quality of the consistent meals.

Fish and chips very, very average but more than anything, the place needs to be scrubbed down (maybe try washing the floors once in awhile)!

This is the best fish and chips I have ever had. The decor is quaint, the staff are friendly and the fish is to die for! Any chance I have to drop in I take. If it were a little closer to Montreal it will be that much nicer!

This restaurant has THE BEST fish and chips I've ever had! It's a tiny, tucked almost out of sight restaurant that kind of blends into the larger buildings surrounding it. Tiny in space but big on taste!!! Not a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination. It's small and quaint. But if you're looking for golden brown deep fried... More

This restaurant opened up about fifteen years ago and first started out serving actual and real English style fish and chips whose batter was thick, very raised and delicious. They now serve a very average tasting, and a very thin, crispy type batter which is probably water based. We make fish and chips at home, so we do know the... More

Had the take out. The cod was great and although I shared a three piece Fish and Chips...it was too much food. Large portions. The only negative was the first hair that I found in the fish batter. It happens...I can live with that. Then I fish out (pardon the pun) the second hair, then the third. Out of 6... More

Other reviewers have it right - the interior of Ye Olde English Fish & Chip is enough to make many less staunch diners turn and run. All the more for those of us smart enough to take a chance on this hole-in-the-wall joint. The inconspicuous white clapboard exterior hides more than a dated and minimally decorated dining area - it... More

Went there for fish and chips. Came back for the Sunday dinner. The frozen takeout Brit food is superb. You have to be fond of British cuisine ,steak and kidney may not appeal to everyone. The place is small, clean crowded and hidden behind the Cornwall Square Mall. Did I mention easy on the wallet.
