Great pub vibe and pub food!

We recently visited the Blacksmith's Bistro for dinner. We managed to get a table on the patio, but moved indoors when it began to rain. For dinner we had pizza, namely the Fungi & Parma, both were very tasty and reasonably priced. We also found the service to be fast and friendly. It you... read more

One of the most enjoyable restaurants I have been too. The decor is simple, detailed and beautiful and the eye is soothed and rewarded where ever it rests. The atmosphere and ambience is warm, welcoming, refined and elegant. We loved our food, and my date is a foodie! The wine list is great too. The experience at this restaurant is... More

Excellent location in the middle of Unionville main street( which judging by the number of people walking the sidewalks should be a pedestrian street). Lovely street atmosphere well captured by the available outdoor seating at street level. The ground floor of the restaurant has more of a nice pub feel and the upstairs is more like a dining room. The... More

For a special place to host a business supper or a romantic dining experience, this place can fill the bill. We really like this place as the wait staff are very knowledgeable and efficient. I feel sorry that they have to walk up and down those stairs, but they do it with a smile on their face. As a word... More

After 2 weeks failing to find a really nice restaurant in the Georgina area, the Blacksmiths Bistro in Unionville was a revelation. Carapaccio of beef and Morocan Slewers were shared as a starter, and were flavousome and well presented. Steaks, pasta and pizza as main courses were all very good and the deserts, including Creme Brulee and Maple Pecan Tart... More

This past week I visited Blacksmith's with my 91 year old cousin who uses a walker. I made a reservation and told the waiter, we might be a little late, but to hold our table! When we arrived, he was at the door and couldn't have been more helpful in getting my cousin into the restaurant and seated. The service... More

A great summertime spot to be seen hanging on the patio but when things slow down in the cold rainy fall the quiet downstairs pub ambiance makes it a good place to hunker down for a great meal. For dinner we prefer the upstairs dining room with the same elegance it's had since it opened. Cappuccino's are buried in milk... More

My wife and I met a friend here for lunch on a recent trip to Toronto. We all had grill cheese sandwiches and either soup, salad, and/or fries. All the food was of good quality. We were all happy with our meals and we were not rushed out of the place. A really pleasant experience with very solid food.

Went with my girlfriend for her birthday (Her choice). I didn't want to go after the horrible steak I had last time. This time: New day! I had muscles. Ask for extra dunking bread. Yum! I also had the swordfish. Excellent! I saw someone at another table had steak. It looked like 1" not the 1/4" I got last time... More

I think that the food and the ambiance at this restaurant are nice. My husband took me to lunch here over a year ago and I remember that the service was okay, but not fast, considering it was a weekday and it wasn't busy. So I brought two of my friends here for lunch and we waited one hour for... More
