We went to Markham for my son's wedding. What a great experience so cozy and charming and a great cup of tea to take the cares of the day away. Adam was a great host and made us feel welcome and "at home". The sandwiches along with all the other goodies were delightfully good and the tea was wonderful. Coming... More

A fun way for girls to have a special time together, chatting, laughing and enjoying a wonderful atmosphere, with great food, excellent choices and just the quaintest place you could find. Had High Tea at the Royal York, and this is far superior.

They have many choices for tea. I believe he said 70. The decor is neat - felt like we were in an old English tea shop. The sandwiches were pretty good. My favourite was the raisin bread with apple as well as raisin bread with celery & walnut. The other ones I was not as impressed with having been to... More

This is a find on Main Street Markham. The food is delicious and the service excellent. Have been coming for years and it is always lovely. The food is fresh, lots of tea choices. A great place to sit with friends and catch up!

I always have the most wonderful experience here. Excellent food and the most friendly and attentive staff. Afternoon tea is my favorite, love the selection of teas and sandwiches, then finishing with the most delicious scones and pastries is the best part for me. I've been coming here for over 35 years and the food and service is always great.... More

Had such a wonderful time we decided to go again a few days later. Lovely, fresh sandwiches with amazing fillings. Gorgeous desserts and the scones were incredibly fresh, served warm with an assortment of jams and REAL clotted cream. Attentive, welcoming service. We were also able to linger over our tea without feeling at all rushed.

We decided to lunch there today and called to make reservations. The voicemail said to leave details of reservation times. We got there at our 1pm time slot and saw a table set for six, which is what ours was. Well, we waited 15 minutes before being even acknowledged (there were two people serving one gentleman up front). And then... More

Took my Mom for Christmas afternoon tea. It was lovely & our server was the nicest man ever!! More than enough food for 2 people. We had to ask for takeaways to bring home the leftovers. I would highly recommend this place. My Mom wants to bring my grandmother for Mother's Day.

Old fashioned service and delightful tea are still around if you know where to look. The old curiosity tea shop is like stepping back in time, in the best possible way. Men might feel a little out of place in this quaint shop but then again they have sports bars. The tea is wonderful and the sandwiches are also good... More
