This is truly a great. Upscale Thai restaurant tucked away opposite the Markham train station on Highway 48. One could easily drive past and not see it, but if you are in Markham, be sure to stop in for lunch or dinner. The linen covered tables are always decorated with fresh flowers to provide a fine dining atmosphere. The traditional... More

Been there twice for special occasions. The food were a bit pricy with very small portion.the appetizer platter was good cos you can have a variety of crispy food like taro fries and spring rolls.the service need to be improved, the waiter was very forgetful, have to remind him to fill our water a few times. May be it was... More

I stumbled on this restaurant by accident, and I was not disappointed. The food is authentic, and never fails to impress me. I love the sampling appetizer platter. The taro fries are my favourite. The peanut sauce is to die for. Portions could be a little bigger. Lunch specials are a great value.

My family and I went twice to this Thai restaurant. the food was good. Mango salad and papaya salad was good. Green and red curries were good. Tom yam Kong soup or prawn soup was good. Pineapple fried rice was good. Coconut chicken soup was good. The curry pastry were good but a bit expensive. I won't recommend the pad... More

An update on this local restaurant... I think the owners have listened well to feedback about the off-hand service that i - and others - have mentioned in the past. My wife and I went back there last weekend and found that the service was vastly improved. We had a great meal at a very reasonable price, and friendly and... More

I live in Toronto and have had the oppurnunity to eat Thai food at many restaurants across the GTA. Bangkok Thai in Markham is easily the best I've had. An authentic family owned restaurant. Always fresh ingredients and service is excellent.

We frequent this restaurant about once a month. Our kids really like the food and the portions. This restaurant was recommended by our friends from Thailand that like the authentic Thai food for order or sit down meal. The staff are very nice, the prices are reasonable and the food is really good.

The food was poorly done, the beef is to tough, most of the plate are quite salty, padthai was pretty soggy. But the soup was the one thing that is okay. The thai tea is quite horrid. The service was only okay, not really impressive. I am Thai and this restaurant wasn't quite good enough

If this resto were in downtown Toronto, we would frequent it. As it is, we only go Sukhothai on Parliament street, and it's often very very busy, even at 9 pm. It has the best Thai in Toronto (Khao San road is under new owners...and after it got famous we refused to line up); the other places we've tried in... More

We just experienced exquisite Thai food so close to home. A snall/ medium restaurant, tasteful Thai decor, gentle background music, pleasant staff. Every dish was beautifully presented and the taste... oh the taste sent our taste buds dancing. We often frequent Thai restaurants, and we can confidently say that they had one of the best Pad Thais we've tasted so... More
