Can't beat the atmosphere and service.. Plus so many lines of beer!!!!!

Been to this 'pub' three time now and I can't say enough good things about the place. The food is above average in quality for similar places and the service is awesome. The live bands were pretty darn good judging from the three times we were there. Gets filled quickly on the weekends and there... read more

This pub was once a great place to eat. The food quality has dropped. It seems more ethnic dishes have replaced classic pub food. I really miss the pull pork poutine.

We used to come here 2-3 times a week but the food quality has really gone down. I believe someone passed away who had a big influence on the kitchen, not sure though but the food is not as good as it was a year ago. The servers are great though. My biggest pet peeve is cold red wine from... More

Yes it has been a long time since we were last here, 15 plus years , but we have rediscovered the John B and are glad we did ! John B has become our go to place after work on Fridays. It has been busy every time and we worry about finding a spot to sit but never disappointed. the... More

I want to live near this pub! I went there about 10 times in my 3 week trip at Christmas to BC. My girlfriend lives beside it. It is a wonderful pub. I want to move it to Scotland!! the food was the best. They do half portions which are HUGE. the Food is wonderful. The pub has a lovely,... More

The "Cheers" of Coquitlam. FIFTY THREE draft beer lines? This pub has been craft beer before craft beer was hip. Live cover bands every Friday/Saturday and a DJ who fills in the blanks with the latest Top 40 and requests (yes he takes them). Prices are really really good for such an array of quality beer choices. The food menu... More

They've changed the menu since the last time he and I went- good service-great food-decent prices...our only disappointment was being sat beside two loud telephone talking women who hated everything. We have always found the John B quite loud, but the service is friendly and not pushy. Great new menu-we both loved what we had chosen.

The food is more than adequate, drinks pricey, atmosphere can be good. As far as a bar goes it is better than most.

I've been here several times, as I live close by. It's convenient and close, so it's our "fall back" place.... when we can't think of anywhere better to go, we go here. The menu is HUGE!! There are so many choices... too many, in my opinion. I'd much rather see a smaller menu of dishes done well, than have my... More

The John B has been around since I was a kid. It moved, but it's a fixture in the neighbourhood. For a pub the food is great, menu is huge and varied. It is pretty expensive for bar food and some of the items miss their mark but overall one of the best pubs in the area. They have a... More
