This place is somewhat hard to find. It looks like it is located in an office park. However, it is right across the street from a high school. Anyway, it is worth the trip. The pastries are great and the coffees good as well. It is really a patisserie.

This place is hidden behind the North Shore Automall and parking can be tricky. However, once inside you will experience having the best cakes, sandwiches, chocolates and coffees. Some tips: The cakes are divine. I would recommend them for any occasion (Birthdays, Anniversaries, even weddings). The chocolates are amazing. Once inside (especially if you are with a kid) ask the... More

I have not had anything here that I did not like. From the chocolate to the sandwiches it's all delicious. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey for what you get.

Wow!! I was absolutely blown away. This patisserie is wonderful. Thomas Haas is a desert genius. I had the sour cherry pistachio cream cake, YUUMMM! The store has a lovely family bakery feel about it and everyone staff and customers alike are friendly and approachable. This is a real hidden gem. Go, its amazing.

My family and I have been going to Thomas Haas for just over 4 years. Every time we go it is the treat of the week (we go once a week cause we can't stay away) and never fails to impress. The staff is delightful, Thomas himself is very friendly and professional and the food is impeccable every single visit.... More

Thomas Haas cakes are so delicious that makes you try all of them. Sandwiches and coffee are also good, very good. Yes, it is crowded, but this is makes people interract more and talk to each other, than being in a large space where everyone keep the distance and ignoring each others. Great chocolate, great pastry and sandwiches.

I frequent Thomas Haas for Chocolate , Pastries and Coffee. Their crispy Chocolate raspberry cake is the standard at all of our family occasions, and their croissants are out of this world. No real facility for seating except for a few outside tables, so for me it is strictly grab and go. So popular that parking can be an issue,... More

Yeah, I do like their chocolates and pastry, but not enough to make me want to get into long lines and being shoulders-to-shoulders with other customers within a cramped space. I almost think that the store does this on purpose to get across a certain image--that they are so good that customers will do anything (paying high prices, fighting through... More

It's out of the way, crowded and impossible to find a parking spot, but Thomas Haas Chocolates and Café is my favorite place to get something to eat in North Vancouver. The ciabatta sandwiches are delicious, the desserts are unmatched anywhere, and the coffee is always superb! What else can I say? :)
