Good Sushi

I like this restaurant because the food is always good and fresh and very reasonable! It has a great variety of dishes to choose from. It is easy to get there on the bus.

I have had many meals at Genji and yet to find anything that was not fresh and superior. Then a buddy whose wife is Japanese told me she considers it the best. I said "I already knew that". The rolls are superior and sashimi fresh. Try some of the chef's creations from the special sheet. You will not be disappointed.... More

We are fortunate to live very close to Genji and Friday Night Sushi is a favourite thing. We had some amazing sushi and Chicken Yaki Soba tonight and everything was wonderful!! We have hundreds of Sushi Restaurants in Vancouver and Genji is one of the Top 5!

One star solely due to slow/poor service. My kids have had spotty service issues before for eat-in but thought we would try them for take-out. We ordered four rolls and one sashimi dish and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived on time for pickup and the restaurant was barely quarter full. Paid for the order... More

Just had lunch from Genji Sushi yesterday. We live close to it so it is our "go-to" sushi place. We have order from there many times for takeout but not eaten in. The sushi is very fresh, very huge and wonderful. The staff are very nice as well. Highly recommended.

Food is good, prices are reasonable and service is attentive. Restaurant is small and dated, but who cares if all the above is good.

The Genji Japanese Restaurant is located at Parkgate Village... blink and you miss it! Highly recommend that you take a moment to step in. You'll see that as well as tables in the centre of the restaurant, the walls are lined with more private curtained tables. Highly recommend the Spencer Roll (named after a regular customer), the yam roll and... More

This restaurant has the best toro in North Vancouver, and we go about once a month because of the high quality sushi, sashimi and service. Don't let the average looks fool you - the food is superior.

Agree the comment below, this is not your average little sushi joint! Try their specialty rolls like the Parkgate Roll. Delicious!!! Inexpensive and awesome.
