Dine Out Vancouver 2016

The three-course meal at Chesire Cheese Restaurant in North Vancouver was delicious and had moments of brilliance. The highlight was the starter - crap dip served with sliced baguette and carrots and celery. The crab (local?) was warm and flaky with the cream cheese mix. The entree was Fish and... read more

Staying in the Quay hotel so nice and close, we ordered from the "Dine Out" menu. The crab dip appetizer was delicious as was the onion soup for our starters, fish and chips (substantial) and my seafood dish were excellent. SO full but then trifle and warm apple crisp for dessert, looking forward to going back asap!

I took a trip on the Seabus to Lossdale Quay and wanted something to eat that wasn't fast food, to go etc. The Cheshire Cheese Inn hit the spot. My dining companion and I enjoyed a satisfying meal, with enough to bring leftovers back. The blues over the PA system also made us feel great.

Well, not really. True Caesar salad is prepared at your table in a wooden bowl with... oh, never mind. You'd have to find a gourmet Spanish or Cuban or Mexican restaurant, and in Greater Vancouver the last one died with El Parador. But this English-themed restaurant at least makes their own Caesar dressing, with a nod to lemon and garlic... More

This is a local neighbourhood favourite, especially with the older generation. The one drawback at lunch time during the week is lack of parking. Evenings and weekends the extensive ICBC parking lot next door to the Quay provides free parking. The menu is pretty varied with an emphasis on "English" food like shepherds pie, bangers and mash, fish & chips,... More

The Cheshire Cheese Inn is located within the Lonsdale Quay which also houses the Lonsdale Quay Hotel. We choose this place to dine as we were staying at the hotel and expecting a friend to join us. We liked the place. Our table overlooked the waters of Burrard Inlet and the lighting and decor were pleasant to the eye. The... More

Same as last time the service was prompt and friendly, we were quickly seated and brought waters. I tried the sangria today and although it sounded strange (Strongbow Sangria??) it was delicious! The food was also excellent, we will definitely be back again! I was also surprised and pleased to find out they now have a happy hour... Pretty convenient... More

We were there a few days ago, and, as always, enjoyed both the food and the setting. I had their steak and kidney pie with salad, and my friend had fish and chips. Both were delicious.

This restaurant attracts an older crowd, and slow service styles. I noticed that for the price, you're basically paying for the view. The food is something I could easily make at home (probably more delicious) and the service is nothing to boast about. However, the Lonsdale Key is a great place to visit with the family and/or friends, so this... More

We were a party of 2 couples who met up at this convenient location on a Friday night, as we have done numerous times before. As during our past visits, we were greeted promptly upon arrival and our whole experience made for a lovely evening. The meals are reasonable and tasty, the beer selection extensive, and the stuffed mushrooms are... More
