Not a fancy place but clean and airy The food is the best and the prices are great too. No fishy smells, no greasy fish or chips. The fish batter is excellent. All fresh fish, not frozen. Cold slaw is fresh and tasty. Try the halibut and prawns

C-lovers Fish and Chips is a no frills place offering perfectly cooked battered fish- a rare art. Generous portions, seasonal specials for prawn additions, reasonable prices. The cold slaw here is also a standout- crisp, fresh, not over done on the mayo, a frequent problem in other restaurants. Service is pleasant and efficient. Popular local gem.

I used to live in Vancouver and traveled there often on business after I left. C-Lovers is one of the best fish and chip restaurants in Canada or the US. Fresh fish prepared exactly as it should be. It's not a fancy place and the servers are mostly senior high school or university students, but the magic occurs in the... More

This place makes the best Halibut and coleslaw. I don't eat chips but they do have the best deep fried dill pickles ever tasted. Also you can get 4 prawns added to your order for $2.79. They have all you can eat Cod & Chips which is a great deal. The tartar sauce is really good and I mix it... More

Simple & tasty. The light batter hailbut is cooked to perfection here every time. Love the little extra piece of fish received with each order. Love the shrimp & cod too. Like the home cut fries too. All wrapped in paper. This place is often a stop for me on the way home after a long day at the office.... More

small place, but excellent fish. Tuesdays there are 2 for 1 specials. They also have a kiosk at the P.N.E. every year. Only food I make sure I get there. Big pieces of cod or halibut. Of course the halibut is my favorite. Not oily but crispy and so well done. Their sides are good too. ummm, now I want... More

I was exhausted after moving and having my new apartment renovated so I decided to go to C-Lovers. I had a bad experience there once before with some horrid people sitting next to me. The same thing happened this time. The table next to mine, a party of 4-5 people, started talking about rats and various forms of killing rats... More

Not gourmet dinning by any means. But if you want good grub (fish + chips) and lots of it this is the place. Their formula is keep it simple and it works well. Always hot and fresh.
