My boyfriend and I decided it would be fun to have a nice dinner and some drinks after a night up Mt.Seymour, but that is not what we got, at all... I had made reservations a couple days prior for 10:15pm thinking that obviously the kitchen would be open then, and my boyfriend and I had purposely not eaten dinner... More

We appreciate you taking the time and trouble to post a review of your experience at The a Raven on New Years Eve. I am sorry to hear that it was not a good one for you on that night at that time. You heard right. Our food is really good and there is lots of it. So I hope... More

This place has been a Deep Cove tradition since Christ was a child and it's still true to its roots...Nothing pretentious here, just good food, a nice array of beers and other beverages (adult and otherwise) and real nice decent people running the show too. The Raven is an ideal spot to enjoy lunch or dinner after a few hours... More

It could be a neighbourhood pub just about anywhere. The hockey game was blasting over the TV's and the beer a flowing. Very good pizza, actually better than very good. Everything else was also fresh and well enjoyed. You probably would not drive across Vancouver to come here, but if you are close then well worth a visit.

Stopped by with my wife for a beer and a pizza and have nothing but good things to say about this place. The pizza was terrific, we had the Raven special the toppings were fresh and the crust was to die for. We found the staff to be very attentive and polite. The also have a great beer selection. We... Regulars, well they are a plenty in this little pub. Regardless of the night, you will find a regular group of individuals who are coming and going through the pub. Food is good, drinks are plenty and the atmosphere is one of communal participation. Check their Facebook page for what musical acts will be in, and consider stopping in more... More

The wait staff work hard, on this night the kitchen totally undermined their efforts! My wife and friend had shrimp salads and the shrimp arrived raw - twice! They sent them back, hoping for cooked shrimp, and were told the "chef" was angry & throwing a temper tantrum in the kitchen... ? Very unprofessional!! My fish soup was watery and... More

We were in the area and stopped by for lunch. This pub had great food and a great selection of beer. We watched part of a World Cup match and enjoyed some burgers, mac 'n cheese, sandwiches, and great beers. We would go back.

We really enjoyed our visit to this pub, especially as it was only a 5 min walk from where we were staying, but the pizza was amazing and the service was really good.

The Raven could be called Deep Cove's only pub, although the Arms Reach Bistro serves a similar function if a bit more, erm, bistro like. As an expat Brit, I like the Raven - cozy fire, a mixture of tables and booths, and the best pizza I've had on the North Shore so far. Good craft beer too - I... More

Certainly an institution in the area with good pub food, some very good music, and the charm of a dated pub that has had a lot of beer spilled on the carpet over decades. Like similar establishments, not the place to go on warm summer evening but great on a cold winter night when a burger and beer are desired.
