Evening started out well. Nice table, excellent view. Bit of confusion as to who our server was. One took our drink order while another advised us of the specials. The first one came back to ask if we required anything and we said we'd like to order. Turns out he wasn't our server so where was he? Ordered wine with... More

Good service. There was four of us for dinner and we each ordered a different main course. The beef ribs were very good, tasty and tender. The halibut was a bit over cooked for my taste but still was good. The prices a high however when you take into consideration that when you book your reservation the cost to ride... More

We recently visited The Observatory for dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday dinner with our extended family of 10. The view and the food were excellent, however, the evening was a major disappointment given the service. The service was horrible. The service was slow and the servers at times rude. We simply felt like we were intruding and that they... More

Great view from the observatory. Unfortunately some of the trees block your view but you can still see Vancouver, Mount Baker or Vancouver Island.

It goes without saying this restaurant obviously has a great view. The gondola trip to the top is free with a restaurant reservation, so it's worth going a bit early to see the grizzly enclosure etc.

We visited The Observatory for dinner on the summer solstice - to watch the sunset from an amazing location. As a touristy location I had expected that dinner would be a good effort but would miss the mark. I was wrong. The trip up on the gondola was fantastic. The views incredible. The main part of the facility is what... More

Service was excellent. The food very nice and reasonably priced. Getting a table with a view made the experience complete, and value was good because of it. Had a wonderful time and is a memory that will stay will me for a long time.

I was in Van-groovy on business and spent the last day being a tourist with a colleague. Went up Grouse mountain and was horrified to realize we needed dinner and expected classical North American 'you're trapped cuisine'. The fact that Observatory had a world class view of the city made me skeptical of both the fare and the prices -... More

One of our favorite restaurants as a couple. We have taken the kids but felt bad about that with all the romantic declarations going on. If you go you should be prepared to respect that other people are trying to propose next to you. Service in the restaurant is good. Only negative is the way they handle reservations which can... This place has the best views of the lower mainland. Enjoy coffee, lunch or dinner and then take the gondola down. In summer time there is a lot of activities for kids (grizzly bear sanctuary, lumber jack show, etc)
