We picked perfect weather to take the tram to dine at The Obeservatory. We made reservations for 6:45 pm. on a clear day 4/12/14. The ride up was stunning and watching the sunset over Vancouver was fabulous. Our waiter was Brett and he was great, offering us suggestions and giving us plenty of time between drinks, appetizers, main meal, and... More

I took my husband to The Observatory for his birthday dinner this past Friday night. Although reservations were made in advance, we were not able to secure a "front row" window seat. Although we had a table set further back in the restaurant, we were still able to see alot of the beautiful sites....I had to twist, turn and cock... More

By far the best place to come to impress friends from out of town. So much more fun than a downtown restaurant. Food was wonderful, view was breathtaking, tram ride up exciting, prices acceptable, service top notch. Very happy we came. We will bring all of our out of town guests here for dinner for sure!

The only good thing about this place is the view. If you want to see the beautiful Vancouver in its nightly glory, it really is an obseervatory. But eating there - no no no!!! Huge plates with almost invisable portions at exorbitant prices. Very unpleasant experience. Will never return there!!!

I went to this restaurant for Valentines day as I had read it was 5 star. While the view was pretty good the food, environment and service was mediocre at best. The food was actually terrible. Beef was the worst I have ever had and I have had some pretty bad third world dishes. Not sure what they were trying... More

We went here for Dine Out Vancouver and were pleasantly surprised with a window seat overlooking Vancouver on a clear evening. We rented skates and went skating on the pond before dining to build an appetite. The 3 course dinner was well prepared and presented and the short ribs were excellent. There were 3 options for each course and excellent... More

I had my wedding at Grouse Mountain and had previous gone for a first date there with my boyfriend, now husband. On both occasions the meals were amazing. The service was top notch and the setting couldn't have been better. I highly recommend any body who lives in or travels to Vancouver to go to Grouse Mountain.

If you just want to enjoy the view, it is ok to go this restaurant. If you like food, you should go some where. We order Coconut Éclair passion fruit, lime cake for dessert but we were served Cream puffs which tested terrible. I could not believe that 5 star restaurant did it to us.

Beautiful view and service not bad but the food was mediocre at best for a fine dining restaurant. The coconut eclair was inedible. The gnocchi were like bits of fried potato inbetween some vegetables. The beef was ok. Come up here if you want a free ticket up the cable car(normally $40 per person) and try to stick to simple... The view from the windows on a clear night is out of this world; we could see all the lights of the city and as far as Vancouver Island! The candles and fire twinkling in the windows and my martini glass (wonderful martini) only made this place more spectacular. I can't think of anywhere more romantic. The food and wine... More
