I've driven down past this little cafe so many times - it's in an industrial neighborhood and doesn't look like much from outside. My friend suggested it for a special dinner night, and I doubtfully said "Are you sure?" The food was so so good. I had the beef and my friend had the evening's special, halibut confit. My meal... It's about the food. I began to doubt my GPS and then voila there it was. Located at the edge of an industrial area in North Van it's definitely a destination. The decor left no impression - the only thing I remember is the stiky door. The food I do remember. We had the stew to start, rich and beefy,... More

We found very positive reviews of Tour de Feast on other websites so decided to try it ourselves. We were there for lunch and had shared both the Veggie and Albacore sandwiches. They were delicious. The place was packed. The menu had many things I wanted to try so, we'll be back.

We are regulars now and for good reason. It's not just the flavourful and creative food but the friendly, personalized service that brings us back. Owner Nupur and her husband Chef DJ never forget a face and remember you instantly on subsequent visits. We feel like family. Their summer menu of colourful salads and lighter dishes was a great success... More

Curious of the high ranking, we went there for dinner and found the food to be just average. The carrot soup served with the meal has a cardamon touch which I don't particularly appreciate, perhaps not surprising given the apparent Indian heritage of this family owned place. The sandwich I ordered was simply done, adequate and sufficient. The ribs, said... More

Perhaps I have had too many outstanding meals in Europe to even try to compare this cafe. My oversalted kale/quinoa salad was mediocre at best, but the beef ribs and stew that the others had were excellent. The restaurant is easy enough to get to from the Ironworker's Memorial Bridge, but the location seems out of place in a non-descript... More

An unassuming, off the beaten path eatery, that amazed our taste buds! This place out did any high class establishment in Paris. Don't be fooled by it's plain Jane facade, or you'll miss the most exquisite meal you've ever experienced.

The best meal I have had in recent memory. Better than most of the French meals I eat in France. Subtle, complex flavors, sophisticated presentation with an obvious commitment to excellence. The 3-octopus starter was fabulous-no rubbery-ness; the crispy piece was heavenly. My main course--the North Vancouver-version of bouillabaisse was better than the Marseilles original--the snapper was just-right and the... More

This is just a little gem flying under the radar. Almost feel I shouldn't write a review as Tour de Feast is kind of like our little secret. My wife and I had Sunday brunch there yesterday served by the wonderful Nupir and family. I had the mushroom and cheese omelette with the best roasted potatoes ever, a delicate salad,... More

Four of us. All had appies - three style octopus fantastic.Mains: two had braised beef, I had duck, wife had salmon. Service great, prices reasonable (wine, appies, mains $100 per couple plus tip). Small place, plain Jane décor but clean and OK. Definitely a keeper. Glad their advertising is poor or we would never get in. Only strange thing was... More
