Long lineups on weekends, good food

We were here for lunch on a beautiful afternoon. If you come here on the weekends for lunch on a sunny day (rare in Richmond :P), first thing you'll notice is the line. We waited for around 30 minutes until we finally sat down, and when we did finally get our table, the waitress didn't come until... read more

Great place for friends and families to dine. The halibut and chips is the best around, They also serve cod if you prefer.

Whenever we are in Steveston, we make a point of visiting Dave's. The fish and chips are always fresh and delicious. Halibut is our favourite and this time of year it's in season so it's a perfect choice. You can order your fish lightly battered but even the normal batter is light and crispy so it doesn't overwhelm the light... More

their fish and chips are not bad...but others are much better... more expensive. Prefer Pajos...now that's the real feeling of English fish & chips..malt vinegar and served in newspaper..yes.

The Cod n Chips are sooo good.. .. so nice because they will pan fry the Cod if you don't want the deep fry. Super friendly staff and the rest of the menu is tasty also.

I had originally tried to contact another fish & chips option in the area, but due to the horrific phone etiquette and overall rude treatment, we contacted Dave's and were treated perfectly. There are plenty of options for gluten free dining, as I had halibut and chips cooked to perfection. The fish is pan fried, however they did it in... More

If you are looking for good fish and chips in Steveston, you may not know where to choose with the abundance of options in this historic fishing village. They all claim to have the best fish and chips. I did not try them all to compare, but I found Dave's Fish and Chips (the cod) to be on point. I... More

The fish is always really good, the batter is nice and light, but the chips can be a little bit dry at times. Portion sizes are fair, one piece of halibut and chips is really enough for most people. The service is always good and we have never had to wait to be seated because we go around 11.30 a.m.... More

Hi. My wife and I always go to Dave's because the Halibut and chips is tasty with a nice, light batter. The portions are generous and the halibut is always the real thing (not pressed and formed). Complete with a pint of Russell beer on tap, this place remains top value and is a model of consistency (you get what... More

I always manage to make it to Dave's Fish & Chips at least once a year, been doing this for about a decade. Even though there are restaurants in Steveston Landing that offer seafood (not to mention Pajo's) Dave's always seem to maintain it's market share. There's a few parking spots in the lane beside the picnic tables which makes... More
