The fish is always really good, the batter is nice and light, but the chips can be a little bit dry at times. Portion sizes are fair, one piece of halibut and chips is really enough for most people. The service is always good and we have never had to wait to be seated because we go around 11.30... read more

Hi. My wife and I always go to Dave's because the Halibut and chips is tasty with a nice, light batter. The portions are generous and the halibut is always the real thing (not pressed and formed). Complete with a pint of Russell beer on tap, this place remains top value and is a model of consistency (you get what... More

I always manage to make it to Dave's Fish & Chips at least once a year, been doing this for about a decade. Even though there are restaurants in Steveston Landing that offer seafood (not to mention Pajo's) Dave's always seem to maintain it's market share. There's a few parking spots in the lane beside the picnic tables which makes... More

We used to enjoy going to Daves Fish & Chips but things have deteriorated in a major way. We ordered the Fish & Chips today and the chips were warm and soggy and the fish tasted like it had been deep fried hours before and kept warm. From what I ate today, I would rate this serving of Fish &... More

Used to be the best place for fish and chips in Steveston but the portions have gotten smaller and the price has gone up considerably. It is a sitdown restaurant so on a rainy day it is the best place to go.

If you've never enjoyed the delicacy known as salmon fish 'n chips, this is one of the best places in the world to make this discovery for yourself. You will thank me.

Ate here a couple of times while in the area. I would stick to just having the fish and chips. Had their combo meal the first day, and it was a little greasy. The fish was very good. A little pricey being in a tourist area. Staff was nice. Had a café look to it. No frills. Lot of locals... More

I haven't been here in years but decided to go for a family dinner. Originally from Newfoundland in 1992, this was once a good place to eat.... Not so much anymore. It had no taste... It had changed do much. The portions were small and the fish was obviously not fresh. I asked the waitress what had happened to the... More

This was probably one of the my favourite fish/chips place in the world. We went after going to Vancouver Whale Watch (another A+ experience), and got to Dave's Fish/Chips only by chance. We were hungry, but not famished, but the Salmon battered fish was so fresh, and the interior was so creamy and not-at-all dry, made the entire experience well... More

Good fish & chips, good portions, nice outdoor seating. My husband and I had the halibut and fries, which was delicious. Light batter, not too greasy, (they are deep fried so expect a little grease) and fresh! The service was a little slow, but we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine so not a big deal. I was pleased that... More
