What’s up with the mixed reviews?

While staying at the Westin across the street the Beach House was a handy option. The reviews went from great to bad, so with curiosity peaked I decided to go for it. My take on it is that the service was friendly. The food was good and I’m sure there is a lot more than good. Yes it is spendy,... read more

My husband and I had some high hopes for a good meal. Our ribs were so tough we could barely eat them. We only ate them because we were very hungry. The corn had been boiled way too long. Definitely won't be back.

Excellent seafood restaurant with a very good menu selection and reasonably priced. Waiting staff were courteous and efficient and the food was delicious. Near to most airport hotels this is definitely worth seeking out.

We arrived for an early dinner at 4:30 pm and had to be seated in the lounge because the dining area wasn't open. The seafood chowder was disappointing with no seafood in it, only potatoes. My wife enjoyed the west coast salad which was presented well. My son had a burger and was miffed that that the menu did not... More

Found the restaurant thanks to Trip Advisor. Great fresh seafood close to our hotel. My wife and I both had the specials of day. Mine was a traditional pub fish and chips using the catch of day Halibut. The basil tartar sauce was outstanding. My wife had the miso Plako encrusted halibut and it was to die for. My son's... I had the Crab Stuffed Prawns with the Seafood Chowder and Creme Brûlée. My friend had the Firecracker Shrimp Skillet with the same appetizer and dessert. My entrée was amazing! It came with some wild rice and seasoned veggies. My friend's came with garlic bread that were huge! The Seafood Chowder didn't smell or taste fishy at all. Seasoning was... More

I was driving to catch a flight in Seattle and was leaving Vancouver, when I saw the sign for the Boathouse. It was a slow Saturday mid afternoon and I had the patio to myself, so yeah, I had great service. I ordered oysters, fish and chips and a Stanley Park beer. They oysters came with the usual cocktail sauce... More

The fried cod rates a 4 out of 5. The seafood chowder was very good. The wait staff were attentive. It was an enjoyable meal. Not much to see here as it's situated in a commercial/ industrial area. But, sitting out on the deck in the sun was a welcome surprise.

We were with a larger group and there were two other groups in the same area, the servers kept up with the pace and were very friendly. The food arrived in good time and was tasty.
