Two business associates and myself for dinner. We were seated promptly and the server was prompt and pleasant. (an irish lady) The steaks were done as ordered. The place was quite busy yet the service was efficient. I would go again if in the area.

Five of us dined at Boathouse Restaurant, Richmond, on the water based on local colleague's recommendations. Special, seasonal menu was offered during Lobsterfest. Pluses: * Extensive seafood menu, including wild fish from BC, such as Blackened Steelhead * Extensive wine list including wines from BC. We chose a fruity Sand Hill's Small Lots Osprey Ridge Vineyard * Lobster & Crab... More

First of all, make sure you Google map or GPS the location properly and be in the far left lane as you are heading towards the bridge going to the airport or you'll miss the turnoff and end up going to YVR. Went there for my parents' 50th anniversary and it was extremely loud in there. The first big party... More

The offered dishes are prepared and cooked well, yet lack imagination. The dining hall is quite loud, privacy or decent conversations are difficult. Staff can be a bit slow unless you are a well-known regular who tips 50% plus (our friend was, so we were lucky but could observe service standards being drastically lower at the tables around).

We were seven and we all had something different. We were all satisfied; the meat was good and tasty, the fish looked good and the others loved it. Very near to our hotel.

Great location, great ambiance, great food. Not cheap but justifiable. Main course tends to be small, so order an appetizer and/or dessert.

Service was very good - although I think we were literally the only table in the restaurant when we were there (we were there for a very early dinner - around 5 p.m. - on Labor Day). Food was good - I had cod (delicious), a couple of members of our party had burgers, which they loved. One fellow had... More

I don't know what some people see as this being good service. I don't care how much the server smiles at you, slow service, bringing out dishes that are improperly cooked, from raw to burnt, the wrong items, over seasoned. This is the territory of a good server. Over the years we have eaten at Richmond, New Westminster, etc.

Waitstaff was very knowledgeable, I had the halibut and it was very good. My boyfriend had the sockeye salmon and it was quite distasteful. I had a piece and it tasted old, certainly not fresh; it even tasted "fishy." We were compensated for the salmon with a free dessert.

Short walk from our Hotel (River Rock) to the Boathouse. Our hotel gave us a coupon for desert, thanks. Had a good meal, started off with calamari, which was very nice, a bit of a kick, certainly not too much. I then had the Coconut Cod, which was fresh, my wife had the seafood pasta, which I tried a couple... More
