I've been here a ton of times for the breakfast/brunch buffet. It is highly recommended and probably one of the best I've ever had. They have everything on the menu, and it is very Fresh. They offer maple butter--wow. Service is great; cappuccinos are pricey, but this is Fairmont, in an Airport, and in Vancouver, North America's most expensive city... More

The Globe@YVR is a somewhat hidden gem that locals need to know about it! Not just for airport travellers, if you live anywhere near YVR then this should be on your list of places to dine. We had one of our best culinary experiences ever. Our server Melissa was friendly and had in-depth product knowledge that helped with our dining... More

Stayed at the Fairmont at Vancouver Airport as we had an early flight out the next morning. Decided to try their Globe restaurant and enjoyed a light meal of smoked tomato soup and crab cakes. The soup was excellent, as was the wine and the service. The crab cakes were good but not spectacular. The furnishings and decor are high... More

It was such a relief to sit down and eat at this wonderful restaurant. We ate several times here because we stayed at the Fairmont for 3 nights. They are friendly to special diets. My husband is LACTOSE-INTOLERANT and told the waiters. They took good care of him. I am a VEGETARIAN and ate very well here as well. The... More

Our 3 (soon to be 4) year old started preschool so we wanted to do something special to celebrate this milestone. We decided high tea was kid friendly as the Globe offers a junior tea service. We arrived and were seated close to the windows so we could see the planes, arriving and being unloaded. The tables were impeccably set... More

Decor is chic and trendy, love the lighting and ambiance. Make reservations and request a table buy the windows for plane viewing. Fairmont service and cuisine top notch. We also enjoyed the BC featured Okanagan wine. Menu reflects the many cultures and spices around the globe, so is quite varied. We had Canadian Angus tenderloin and Marrocan lamb. Lovely dinner... Usually stay at hotel before flying home. This time we decided to have dinner at the GLobe@YVR. Great dinner! Even though it is a fine dining restaurant the atmosphere was casual and easy going. Service was excellent. Had the 24 Hour Braised Short Ribs - best I've had in ages. My husband had the Fruit De Mer Risotto. He loved... More

We booked reservations for the Afternoon tea. We were seated promptly and had a nice table by the window where we could watch the planes take off. We were told we couldn't come 30 minutes earlier because they were booked but there were very few customers in the restaurant when we arrived. It took awhile to get served, but someone... More

We spent the night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport after departing our cruise ship so we decided to do dinner at the Globe@YVR. At first, we didn't know if we would be able to dine there, as we didn't want to don a dress and suit for dinner. To our surprise, the dress code is casual, yet nice and the... More
