Great food service a bit uneven this time

I look forward to having a meal here while staying the night before an early morning flight. The food is really good, pricey but it's a fairmont and an airport... I was alone so one minor complaint was that service wasn't that attentive especially for someone who had no dinner companion. I waited... read more

Great for a night before a 6 a.m. flight! After a relaxing cocktail in the lounge, we enjoyed an excellent dinner, perfectly prepared and presented by an attentive server. Very unique presentation on my wife's pork tenderloin which she really enjoyed. Equally so with my short ribs, cooked for 24 hours, so incredibly tender. Highly recommend!

Had a long layover between flights and decided to have lunch in restaurant. Mushroom soup was great but burger.....have had better at Wendy's. Beige in colour and tasted/looked like it was a frozen processed patty and junior chef confirmed as much....pretty poor for $22. Worst part about it? My complaint was only addressed with a "we will give you a... More

Always enjoyable to eat at this restaurant where the food is consistently cooked to perfection and the service is outstanding. Although menu items are pricey, they are worth it. The caesar salad is outstanding -- not overdressed like many other restaurants. The short ribs were succulent, flavoured to perfection and my dining companion remarked that her chicken was outstanding as... More

We've eaten here before and enjoyed the experience – particularly the friendly and professional service – so we decided to come back for a nice dinner out on Christmas night. The room wasn't full, so there's no excuse for the hit-and-miss service; we were ignored for long stretches of time, dealt with by four different servers, and, though all four... More

If you have a long layover while waiting for your flight, make your way to the Fairmont Hotel attached to the International/US Terminal and enjoy a delicious meal in comfortable surroundings in the restaurant or bar while watching flights take off and land through the floor to ceiling windows. We were there for a late lunch/early dinner a few weeks... More

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Fairmont YVR and had the pleasure of dining for both dinner and breakfast at the Globe. This review pertains specifically for our dinner experience however, the excellent service and food quality extends to breakfast as well. We dined on a Saturday evening. We were greeted and seated promptly by the window that... More

The globe restaurant offers a classic high tea you'll only find in England. With a wonderful selection of tea, delicious sandwiches and scones and pastries like no other, the beautiful view overlooking the airport is the icing on the cake (or the clotted cream on the scone if you may) with a 4 hour layover in Vancouver I went out... I've been here a ton of times for the breakfast/brunch buffet. It is highly recommended and probably one of the best I've ever had. They have everything on the menu, and it is very Fresh. They offer maple butter--wow. Service is great; cappuccinos are pricey, but this is Fairmont, in an Airport, and in Vancouver, North America's most expensive city... More

The Globe@YVR is a somewhat hidden gem that locals need to know about it! Not just for airport travellers, if you live anywhere near YVR then this should be on your list of places to dine.
