Fresh, Fresh, Fresh Off the Boat Fish and Chips

Ample servings of fresh caught cod or halibut and chips as well as other seafood offerings. Great deck from which you can watch trawlers going in and out and whale watching tourists all garbed up and ready to go out to spot humpbacks or Orcas. Really good food and inexpensive.

As a Brit I thought Fish and Chips with Mushy peas might be just great. Well the Halibut was amazing. Freshest fish and a great batter. The chips were not so good and the mushy peas were served cold. After a request to heat them they were eventually returned as water. The fine art of heating mushy peas wasn't apparent... More

Great fish and chips on the water and at Garry Point Park. Watch our for the seagulls! The fish is not heavily battered and the chips are fresh cut.

I got the Fish and Chips from the seasonal outlet at Gary Point not far from the wharf but the same quality and freshness. The clam chowder also taste fresh and delicious. If you feel like ice cream for dessert afterwards, there is a ice cream vendor right next door.

The presentation is different - served in a paper cone - location is really nice, but little fish in more lots of coating and soggy fries. Disappointing food in nice surrounding.

The fish is grilled and then tempura fried. The fish and chips are served in a large paper cone filled with delicious fries. You take the cones to your table. There are holes in the tables to set your cones. The service is fast and there are free refills on your sodas which is rare in Canada. The view of... More

The best fish and chips in Steveston. Located on a barge with the fishing boats. A little on the expensive side for Halibut and Chips and the portions seem to be a little bit smaller this year but the atmosphere, the view and the location are second to none. Picnic tables outside to eat on.

We had bragged to our daughter's partner about our excellent fish and chips, and last night he challenged us to prove it. We drove out to Steveston and as we were walking the pier, we decided to "try the place on the end with the yellow awnings." As we approached we were curious about the low tables in the seating... This is a great place to take visitors or just enjoy the fish and chips yourself. Wonderful French fries, and great lightly battered fish. Other things on the menu too. Some of us had cod and another halibut. Fun place, floating on the Fraser River on the Steveston dock. Expect to pay $10-15 per person.
