Five of us caught up with one of the party back in NZ for a short trip and some of us not having caught up for a while. There were a couple of DJ's who were really into their music and enjoying themselves which was great and the music also good, just too loud for us to talk at a... More

Good ambience, met up with an old friend, wine selection and snack food are great. Chicken, cerviche and squid particularly good. Booths for seating and another bar upstairs which seemed popular.

Dropped in here on walk down quay at, as first beer was poured knew we should pull pin, no personality, no atmosphere! Either they are paid very poor wages or they own it, Brew on Quay much more personality!!

The upstairs dining rea gave great views of the harbour. The food selection included some great sharing platters. The berr and eine selection was also good.

Ok beers. The only pale ale on tap was $12 for a pint! Good, but $12. Atmosphere here was a bit lacking... really, the venue lacked ambiance. I think it's only popular because it looks trendy and it's right on Quay St. Staff were 'cool' in the cold sense. There is MUCH better value around. Keep walking towards 'Orleans' or... More

We stopped by for afternoon beverages and snacks and had a great time. The space has a nice modern and industrial feel to it. The beer and drink selection was pretty decent and the food was tasty as well. We enjoyed the freshness of the Seafood Plank and washed it down with a beer and a pitcher of sangria. Overall,... More

I have been three times: once with a group of 8, by myself for lunch and with a colleague for an after work drink. Food is average. Overpriced. Drinks were okay. Service is lacklustre. There are much better places out there. Try the Britomart Country Club or Cafe Hanoi, both nearby, instead. Even the steamship next door is better for... More

We have a friend who when we travel finds random bars for us to find and we do the same when he travels. Tyler st garage was our Auckland find. We did not eat here but loved the warehouse feel as soon as we walked in. It is a very groovy place. Tables, couches, leaning bars and s fabulous rooftop... More

My girlfriend and I stopped at Tyler Street Garage for lunch. The restaurant is in a stylish converted garage and the menu seemed small but promising. We both ordered burgers, I went for the Cheese Burger and my girlfriend ordered the chicken burger. We also ordered onion skins and chips. The service was friendly, not warm but not bad. My... More
