An okay Chicken BLT

Having a day visiting eateries near my companies HQ so this is the next stop. Some recent reviews rated this place highly so it was much anticipated. I had the Chicken BLT (see photo). At $14 it was quite expensive and to be honest it was okay but did leave you feeling underdone. The ingredients... read more

Called in for a quick drink with friends and ended up having some food. We all commented that the food and service was really good. My burger was great but kind of disappointed that it didn't come with fries. Who serves a burger in a bar/restaurant without fries. Saying that the pizza and meat platter was also very good. Also... Best bar food, and second best for food overall in our 10 day stay in Auckland (the best being Depot). I went there because many reviews say it's a good place for a drink with a harbour view, but surprisingly, it turned out to be an excellent place for food. Calamari - well seasoned, crisp and soft (rare to achieve... More

This bar/pub poses itself as a hip joint but I don't think there is anything hip about pretentious wait staff who don't know their menus or contents of dishes, who when queried about this answer "I don't know" or "no idea" - wrong answer, what your customers want to here is "I'll find that out for you and come back".... Business lunch with work mates, we were pointed upstairs to the roof area - which has great views of the port - but also meant we had to sit amongst the smokers. Not too sure what the legislation says, staff were apologetic, but offered no seating alternatives. Service was quick and efficient, food was really really nice - well presented,... More

Absolutely amazing meal with a gorgeous view – the best meal I ate in Auckland. Make sure you sit up on the rooftop part! Two of us shared a pizza and wedges and both were probably the best I've had, ever. The wedges were beautifully crispy and served at a perfect temperature so you could eat them straight away, not... We went there with friends just for drinks. It was nice because the place is big and you have enough space even with a large group of friends. We could not comment on the food as we did not eat there.

I have visited Tyler Street Garage on a number of occasions as there is a great view up on the top floor. Last time I visited, the service put me off for good. The waiter seemed to be too cool to serve me. I had ordered a drink at the bar and was seated on my own for a time... More

Caught up with a group of friends for Sunday afternoon drinks as we where in Auckland for the weekend. Staff up there ( Dutch girl) was great, very friendly and really looked after us. Food was also great. we had lots of shared plates but others around us had full meals which all looked very good. If you want to... More
