Excellent meal

Had a great meal on Devonport. Good was delicious and good service. I would recommend eating here. I had the lamb shank, which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

We got the ferry over from Auckland one evening, and Manuka seemed the most inviting place on the main street. It was busy, but there was a full complement of staff, and we got one of the few tables left. The ambience is bistro-busy. The food was fine - steak and so on, if a little expensive. This was also... We loved Devonport for its charm and slightly English feel, and it reminded us a little of Manley in Sydney. The restaurant is a couple of mins walk up the main street and we sat at an outside table to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. We started with Oysters Kilpatrick followed by scallops, and fish and chips. The only... More

Got off to a bit of a slow start with a little confusion. The restaurant was incredibly busy and the manager very apologetic. However, more than made up for with large portions of beautifully cooked food. I was glad I had a starter for the fantastic flavours but really didn't need it as the main course of Red Snapper was... Have been here many time over the year. Always love this place. Food is good. So is the Service. I do detect a slight drop from a very high standard. Our favorite seafood chowder was a bit watery coffee was a bit weak. However the smoke chicken sandwich was super good. Hopefully just a small glitch

Due to the high ranking of this restaurant on TripAdvisor, my wife and I visited it one night a few weeks ago while staying in Auckland. Devonport is only a quick 10 minute ferry from Auckland, and once it Devonport, its only about a 5 minute walk max. My wife enjoyed her meal (pumpkin and kumara), service was good, and... More

This is a really nice corner and the sidewalk/park/beach ambience on the patio is terrific. Service was OK. Price was OK. I had the “Greek lamb burger” and it was fine, if sloppy and messy.

We stopped here for a quick lunch after a photoshoot at the peak, and I was amazed at the Nicoise salad with a large portion of seared rare tuna steak and perfectly done soft boiled eggs. My family also had the pizza which was crammed full of toppings. It was an amazing lunch in a very nice setting. I would... More

The menu was very busy and the waiter did not know much about the menu. We ordered lamb and fish. The fish was good but was swimming in butter so it ruined the otherwise good fish. I told the waiter he said he would tell the chef. I complained to the manager saying the fish and lamb were good but... More

We stopped by here as we walked back from the ferry, what a good find. The restaurant was very inviting and the staff friendly. We were served quickly and it was no problem to have a starter as a main course. The wedges are to die for. 2nd time we had desserts and the chocolate fondant was very rich, yummy.
