Nice cakes

The location of the cafe is one of the reasons to eat here, at the base of North Head and directly beside the Navy museum and views across the bay. The food here is pretty good too, we just had tea and cakes ( lemon tart and an almond and caramel slice ), very nice. A bit pricey maybe but... read more

Tourists and locals should make this a top priority when visiting or living in Auckland. Sitting outside the cafe with the backdrop of Auckland Harbour with its yachts and other water traffic is great. It's a double experience with its attachment to the RNZN Museum. A must for families. Food was great too. Menu is much the same as other... More

Stopped here after viewing the Torpedo Bay Navy Museum. The coffee was lovely and the smoothies/milkshakes are divine. Lovely little date slice too. Paying "city" prices though - not cheap. Gorgeous spot and beautiful, even on an overcast day.

Called here for coffee with friends over from Wales, UK. Friendly staff and excellent coffee. Our friends also bought food to take up Rangitoto which was well packaged. The cafe is also the site of the Naval Museum which is full of artifacts and well worth a visit. It is situated at the end to the Naval base which is... More

A family brunch with the grandparents (and small children), so you get the idea.. Wonderful location with a pretty amazing view of the harbour. Indoor and outdoor seating. 5 stars for the location. Food was standard cafe fare, eggs benedict, french toast, omelettes etc. Nothing special but certainly not disappointing. 3 stars for food. I would have like something a... More

Brought a overseas visitor here for lunch after viewing the Naval Museum. The food was good and the service prompt and polite staff overall a very pleasant cafe. Love the fact that there was several water bowls out for visiting dogs specially as this would be a great area to walk your dog.

This cafe is located in the building of the Navy Museum at the end of the beach-side walkway - heading east from the Devonport Ferry Terminal. You will not see the sign for the cafe until you are actually at the Museum entrance. We had two variants of the corn fritters, nicely prepared with or without bacon. We also sampled... More

This cafe is situated overlooking the harbour with a great play area for kids to unwind while you sit and relax.... We Came as a two family unit & it provided good parking a happy welcome and fast service of well above average cafe food.... As an ex cafe owner from years ago you can't fault this place relative to... More

Found this place by chance, it is next to the Naval Museum in Torpedo Bay which is well worth visiting and has free entry. The cafe has very good outdoor seating with views over the harbour, delightful on a warm sunny day. The food is well prepared and overall plenty of variety. The coffee is excellent and the service to... More

After a walk along the waterfront on a cold windy afternoon, was more than pleased to see this café was open and ordered coffee and carrot cake. Must say the coffee was excellent and the carrot cake delicious. The views across to Auckland were just spectacular especially as we watched the weather changing every twenty minutes to no views when... More
