We just visited the Gere Winery family Hotel, Crocus for a night of slow food and relaxation. The hotel itself is very cosy with the pearl being the restaurant. We've long known the Gere wines which have become the symbol of Villany, together with a few other brands. But we've never really eaten ar their restaurant as there are so... More

We spent a couple of days in the Gere Hotel. The weather was sunny, it was beautiful springtime. We had perfect dinners and perfect wines in the evenings. We had the opportunity to have a meal with a degustation food series. Unforgettable experience.

Decent place to have some glasses of excellent Gere wines. The staff was very young but enthusiastic. They guide you through the wine menu to find your best match for the evening.

We had dinner here in August with friends. The atmosphere was nice, we have been seated in the garden which was beautifully decorated. Our starters were great, the main courses were big dissapointments though. I had "salmon" with kohlrabi but the kohlrabi was extremly bitter, probably it wasn't fresh or just ruined by the chef. From our 3 main courses... More

We celebrated our anniversary with my wife by having a degustation menu in this restaurant on a Friday night in September - and we truly had a memorable evening with wonderful food, wines and service. The duck breast with plum and radicchio-gorgonzola risotto with red wine "Fekete Járdovány 2012" from Attila Gere was a real culinary highlight of the dinner.... More

First class kitchen with top quality wine tasting menu, excellent service! Pleasant atmosphere for good dinners to enjoy the very best of Villany, presented by a great group of waiters. Friendly, well-prepared and smiling staff.

I was visiting Villány for two nights to explore the wine region. A friend had made a tasting appointment for me at the Gere Mandula Wine Bar for Gere Attila wines, so I arrived unsure of what was in store. I could pick from the menu of wines, and they were open to pouring a half a dl for each.... More

I had the chance to stay in Gere's hotel during a recent trip to Villány. The package included a dinner in the Mandula restaurant which I was eager to try and taste. The décor looks very posh and fancy. Although I would prefer something more authentic for this region but it is definitely one of a kind here. I have... More
