A lonely lunch

Three course lunch for my father's 94th birthday. Booked ahead online, received email confirmation but no booking known of when arrived! It was empty so problem getting a table. Pity, as no atmosphere in an empty restaurant, very different from Loch Fyne in Cambridge at lunchtime. Service fine... read more

I could cook dried fish better myself and I am a bad cook! I would not recommend this restaurant - try a local cafe - it would be better and far cheaper!

Three pals and myself met here at 10am on Sunday for a birthday breakfast and the only word that suits the occasion is EXCELLENT. The breakfast menu is extensive and all four breakfasters agreed that we will return here for all our future breakfast celebrations before our Sunday morning round of Golf. My wife and I will be celebrating my... More

Tired, uninspired food in a branch, and no doubt a chain, that has dropped its standards hard and fast from its romantic beginnings by a Scottish lochside. Apart from an excellent smoked haddock, the fish starters and mains were very unexciting fare, let down by flaccid specimens and poorly judged cooking. We wouldn't return to any of the Loch Fynes... Worst service we have ever experienced at any restaurant ,small portions of badly cooked food which took an age to arrive.Such a shame as we have been here before but shall not go again.

Dreadful quality. Burnt cod - it was supposedly grilled. Children's meals that consisted of 4 muscles in cold cheese soup. A seafood pasta where you played hunt the seafood. Sides which were indistinguishable from each other. A total shambles of food topped off by a row in the kitchen in our ear shot. In 43 years I think this is... More

Second time at this restaurant and I'm sorry to say, that it wasn't much better than the first time. The starter of haggis and scallops was delicious, but the mussels were awful. They were far too overcooked, making them hollow and stringy in the shells and the sauce had no flavour at all. My friend and I both had mussels... More

We were a party of 5 and booked a table for dinner @ 20.00 hours. On arrival we were shown to our pre laid table. Two of us orered the fish pie as a starter. This dish is served up on a Scallop shell and should contain king scallops, smoked haddock, salmon and whiting topped with mashed potato, all as detailed on... More

The food was nice but a bit pricey for portion size. The waitress was very friendly, overall a good experience.
