We requested a nice table as we went for my fiancés 40th birthday and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we got there. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout the evening and the food, although served a little on the slow side, was obviously extremely fresh, made to order and absolutely delicious (I've had mussels many... The Restaurant lacks some ambiance but more than makes up for this with excellent food and great service. The menu is very diverse and despite being mainly a fish restaurant does also serve excellent steaks.

Popped in for lunch at Loch Fyne today and was treated to a gastronomic extravaganza: my chorizo and seafood couscous was full of flavour with countless mussels and clams that were tender and delicious; this was followed by a lobster thermidor, which again made my tastebuds dance with joy, and the flesh of the lobster melted in my mouth contrasting... Having eaten here many times now and not been disappointed, I was delighted to find the new menu had so many enticing choices. The presentation of the food enhances the excellent flavours ... the little glass dome over the smoke roasted salmon when lifted allows the wispy smoke to escape adding to the already good flavours in the dish and... My wife, Angela and I visited Loch Fyne tonight and weren't disappointed. We kicked off with a smoked salmon ashet for Angela, and a choriso couscous for me; our mains were lobster thermidor with a saffron risotto. it was full of flavour and the risotto was just the right consistency and texture. This was baptised with a pleasant rose and... More

We went on a friday which was very busy. They were under staffed and didn't seem to acknowledge the chaos surrounding them. Based on the fact they are highly recommended as a specialist fish restaurant - the food was surprisingly poor. It is over rated and over priced - definitely not one of the better fish restaurants I've visited. We... More

We'd been in this restaurant previously and had lovely fish and chips and even a handmade, buttery shortbread biscuit, which was the best I'd ever eaten, however, on this occasion we ordered fish with sides of broccoli spears with garlic and dauphinoise potatoes. The fish was ok but the broccoli arrived with no garlic at all and the potatoes were... More

Ate here last night with 4 friends as have been and enjoyed before. It was very busy and at first glance everything appeared to be running smoothly. However, it took ages for our order to be taken and although we ordered olives and bread this didn't arrive without prompting- the olives twice. The starters arrived one of which was sent... More
