Constantly Good Indian Food

We love this restuarant. There isn't a bad dish on the menu that we have tried. The owner Joe always has a smile on his face and the Chef has been the same one there for 30 YEARS!!!! Got to be doing something right. Highly recommend all the Chef specials especially the Tandoori Lamb Chops. The Lamb... read more

We have eaten here a few times and this Sunday we tried the buffet and wasn't disappointed. Choice of four starters, chicken or lamb main with vegetable curry rice and sag aloo. Warm nan bread. Good value and the staff were lovely. Sometimes curry houses have bog standard coffee but the coffee here is freshly brewed served with chocolates with... More

Worst indian food I have ever tasted, me and my boyfriend ordered chicken tikka missalas pilau rice and a few other bits, to say we was let down would be an understatement, the chicken tikka missala didnt taste like anything I had ever ate before and ive been to many indians, it was very buttery tasting and just overall had... Arrived to pleasant enough service. Fresh chutneys and poppadoms all refilled within a moments notice. But rather dismayed to be charged £7.20 for around 8 poppadoms that have a value of less than £1. I think that when you are "drinking" in restaurants and not being a "jug of tap water" individual there has to be some le-way. Hope this... More

I've been here twice now, both times I was very happy with the service and the food. Couldn't really fault the Curry I had. Excellent pickles with the popadoms. Good prices. I would return again. The only downside, not the best onion bhaji but that's a small thing. It's worth a visit.

What a lovely evening we had at Bengal Spice. We had just finished performing in a play and so did not arrive until 11pm. We were made to feel very welcome and not rushed at all despite the time. Good was beautifully cooked and service was friendly.

Went for a surprise treat on a relatives birthday. The reason given for waiting nearly an hour between ordering and receiving our food was that it was cooked fresh. The restaurant was virtually empty at the time of placing our order, a poor excuse as there being only a party of 10 in the restaurant at the time.

Been using Bengal Spice for a few years now and have yet to be disappointed. We love the mix of the usual dishes with the less usual. Food always arrives at the table well presented, pipeing hot n freshly cooked. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We've got to the point where we are afraid to take anyone new just... More
