A treat for our daghters

On both occasions we enjoyed glorious weather and our respectve daughters, who had never been to Le Gindreau, were so impressed. A truly memorable lunch ! The setting is amazing but the menu is really balanced and in season. An unexpected delight was the leek mouse and leek compress with a blue cheese and herb sauce. Definitely choose the wines that are recommended. The staff are attentive and very helpful all you need to be worried about are other diners who... More

We've visited this two years running. Fine dining so best for a couple's night out - the food is out of this world. Amazing tasting menu and matching wine is a treat. Beautiful views over the valley to the sounds of the local sheep.

I've been to Le Gindreau several times now, but the last time was two or three years ago. It's always been brilliant, but this time - end of July - I found that there was a new owner and chef and what had been extremely good shifted up a gear to super-excellent. I'm quite severely cows' milk intolerant, and my... More

For many years, we have been regular visitors to the Lot , but, this was our first visit to Le Gindreau. Saint Médard is a tiny village, easy on the eye, exhibiting a sense of history and almost certainly at ease with the world. Le Gindreau is a beautiful old house in a high position overlooking the valley. It was... More

Seven of us were greeted by an elegant hostess and seated on a spectacular patio within hearing distance of a field of sheep, under trees with lights. We all ordered the tasting menu, with course after course of beautifully composed magic. The wait staff were professional, with sly senses of humor. The sommelier was charming, and told us all about... More

I went to Le Gindreau to celebrate my dad's 70th anniversary. The evening was warm and we sat outside in the converted schoolyard. The atmosphere was informal and light, perfect for a family dinner. The same applies for the staff; they were helpful and knowledgeable, but not obtrusive or stiff. The food at Le Gindreau is what to expect from... More

Each time we visit this restaurant we are truly amazed at the skill of the chef with flavours and presentation. Although each course looks beautiful, the joy is in savouring local produce put together in the most exquisite fashion to provide a mouth-watering sensation. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. The setting is perfect and after a summer storm... More

For the 4 th time we have eaten at the Gindreau with the new owners and again it was absolutely fantastic! My husband had foie gras wrapped in a leaf ( beetroot?) and he thought this was the best foie he has ever had! And we have often had dinners at 2 and even 3 Michelinstars! Every detail is perfect,... This visit to Le Gindreau was for our wedding anniversary but we were accompanied by two friends who had never experienced the restaurant. As ever the welcome was wamr, the decor superb and the new menu cards were attractive. The meal was outstanding with a fusion of flavour, colour and interesting food. Two of us had the asparagus entree, followed... More
