Great food and good atmosphere.

I found this place after a hectic search for a good restaurant in El Golfo. There are quite a few to choose from... Keeping it simple, they have great quality food, nice portions and very welcoming customer service. A well recommended place to satisfy your Canarian appetite.

We stayed at the hotelito next door for 10 days so might have visited frequently. However, we tried on our first evening, about 7.30 pm, and there seemed to be a couple of people at one table, but as soon as someone also sitting at the back saw us approaching he jumped up and turned out most of the lights.... After a week of food frustration I found fish heaven in El golfo. When entering the village stop at the first restaurant on the right and venture no further. The starters of squid and prawn were divine. The mains, including a four fish platter, were even better. We were catered for individually throughout and that made us feel more than... More

Freshly caught fish - perfectly cooked and served with a smile - overlooking the sea with the sun overhead - what could be better. The village of El Golfo is noted for its fish restaurants but what makes La Lapa stand out for us are the people. Everyone seems to be having fun whilst enjoying their meal -you never feel... More

Excellent restaurant serving tapas and fresh fish. Second visit and third planned in June. Very relaxing , tranquil lunch watching people walk to other restaurants down by the sea- fools for not going to la lapa! Advice on which fish to have. Complimentary chickpea fish was gorgeous. Came away as I did last time with the list of fish I... More

If you visit Lanzarote this is a restaurant not to be missed. It's the first on the right as you enter El Golfo - go no further and you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is so relaxing that you could stay for hours. The food is very fresh and excellent. During a couple of recent visits with friends we had... More

Had a most enjoyable extended lunch time recently on a rather windy day protected by the veranda. Started with a shared plate of cheese and yummy fig jam. Followed this with a fish platter of assorted fresh fish –Our waiter Iker, explained which fish was which and recommended the order in which to eat them starting from the most delicate... More

Best lunch we had on the island! Very good no-nonsense sea food restaurant, super relaxed atmosphere. We had squid as a starter and paella as main course and both were delicious. The paella was freshly made on the spot. The staff is great and speaks English very well. Very good value for money over here!!

We visited this restaurant without planning it, whilst touring Lanzarote. It was a very hot day, and we welcomed the very clean verandah with plenty of sun shades and large tables with comfortable chairs where we enjoyed lovely cold beer, and delicious courses of local cuisine and an array of fish. The service was personal and prompt. Whilst not a... More

Not at that seaside, but just 15 metres away. Good food, well...
