Service was nearly non-existent, but the food was worth the wait

All you can eat mussels, seafood chowder and salad. Food was delicious, restaurant was insanely busy and seemed to be in a state of chaos when we arrived. Choose your dinner before you are seated and then enjoy! The maritimes are known for their seafood but New Glasgow Lobster Suppers does it right. Full meal included salad sampler plate, rolls (fresh, delicious), mussels, chowder or tomato basil soup, main course (for me it was a 1.5 lb lobster) and dessert. Hands down the best dinner I have had... More

Excellent service and very friendly staff. All meals include salad, as many mussels as you can eat, main course and dessert and coffee. The lobster was delicious. A real PEI treat.

Most of the people who have dissed this restaurant ordered steak, ham, chicken, salmon or something else other than lobster. Did they look at the name of the restaurant? Do you go to a steak house and order cheese enchiladas or egg foo young? We were served good chowder, a big bucket of mussels, delicious hot rolls (our server warned... More

Quite the big deal. Courses include: 1. Beverage 2. Scrumptious hot rolls 3. Buckets of PEI mussels in drawn butter; we also tried the Newfie way, dipped in white vinegar 4. A trio of salads: mixed greens, slaw, potato 5. 1½ -pound lobster (or ham, chicken, steak, scallops if you have a thing against lobsters – suggest you avoid the... More

We had dinner here one night and just about didn't go in because of the huge lineup, but it went very fast because you prepay for lobster size (market price-incudes all fixings and desert) and in summer months it seats 500 people. Also included was a pale of mussels and butter appetizer, this was a great meal at a great... More

FOOD: Food is average. The meals are large, and everything that comes with the lobster is of unlimited portion, including the mussels. If you eat a lot, you will get your money's worth. ATMOSPHERE: Almost non-existent. It's one large dining room that feels like a giant cafeteria. SERVICE: Very mixed review, here. The server, Elaine, was very good. She anticipated... More

Since near the end of September, not too many places to eat! Enjoyed our lobster/salmon dinner here. While it is a large open area, the food is really good for the price paid. Very good chowder, mussels and salad are included along with the main mean and dessert. Food very good and could not finish everything. Good overall experience.

We liked the experience as much as anything -- sitting in a large dining room that seemed more like a church hall than a restaurant. The lobster was great. It was served whole, but ready to eat (cracked, etc). Everything else -- the chowder, mussels, salads, and dessert -- were pretty mediocre, making the value quite poor, to be candid.... More

This was a great stop for dinner. We came as part of a bus tour and the staff was just great, having tables set aside for us and moving us very efficiently through the meal. This is not to say that we were rushed in any way, because we were not. The meal started with PEI mussels which were great... More
