The Swan Inn is a great British pub where you can get a bite to eat throughout the day. With fabulous views over the River Yealm estuary there is no better place to relax and enjoy a glass of your favorite tipple. Our menu is proper pub grub with a varied and seasonal offer. We are not a fine dining outlet with overpriced and undersized portions but offer good English grub at fair prices. Good views, hardly place to park. Food not above average. You pay for the 'view'. Staff okay, but nothing special.

parking is difficult - there is an area to sit out overlooking the water which was entertaining and peaceful. Food was lovely, service great but the outside area could do with a clean and a bit of attention. this may have been done now but the pub itself looked very clean and newly decorated

Thank you for your review but please be assured that my business is perfectly healthy and in no danger of closure as you suggest. Of course if we were in trouble the last person who we would want to call on to help is Mary Portas, the so called "retail guru" who's show Mary Queen of Shops resulted in 9... More

I've been coming down to Devon for many years but have never been to Noss Mayo. What a beautiful little village. We parked up in the car park and meandered our way along the side of the river. Absolutely stunning, the sun was shining so we decided to call in at the Ship initially but to be honest it looks... More

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The pub appears to be slightly run-down & offers a very limited (but cheap) lunch menu (basic burgers & sausage/bacon baps) - Us & another table of 3 were the only ones eating but it took 45 minutes to deliver any food (though they did say they were short staffed). However we weren't in... More

We spent a wonderful 3 nights in Newton Ferrers and visited The Swan Inn 2 out of the 3 days. On the Fri, my husband, myself and our black labrador enjoyed a meal inside. Dog treats were on the menu for our 4 legged friend and we enjoyed the fish and chips and lasagne, both were hot and tasty. The... More

Noss Mayo is so quaint it can command high prices, the Landlord at the The Swan has opted for good value bar meals, this isn't gastro pub, but the fish and chips and veggie lasagne and drinks for 8 came to 120 quid, significantly less than the prices at his neighbours. Good service and bar games! A proper pub.

Stopped here during a long walk in the area with wife and our dog. Took advantage of their offer of BOGOF sausage baguette, also had a couple of cokes. Excellent value and lovely view on outside table.

After a long coast walk, it was a great location for lunch, care needed regarding the tide !. Fish and Chips can be recommended, non fatty crips and sensible portions, coffee is good too.
