Great place for a special dinner while in Tahoe. The food is inventive and delicious. I had an excellent watermelon, tomato and arugula salad; the watermelon was cut in tomato form and alternated with yellow tomatoes for a beautiful dish. My main course was halibut with a very tasty risotto. Service is excellent. Wish I had had room to try... More

We went to Evan's to celebrate the upcoming wedding of our son. Evan's is a favorite restaurant of theirs. They go to Evan's for dinner every time they come to South Lake Tahoe. This was our first time but won't be our last. It is a cozy, small restaurant, the food is beyond wonderful and the staff makes sure your... More

We got lucky. Most people will pass this restaurant at least twice during a Tahoe stay and if you're lucky get a reservation. Actually I would call before coming to Tahoe to avoid missing out on a great meal. It is worth the effort (call and ahead and leave the flip flops at the hotel). We had starters, entrees and... The food here is delicious and well presented. I had the salmon loin stuffed with lobster. My husband had the glazed pork chop. We had berry creme brûlée tart for dessert. All the food was SO good!! The service here is seamless. There a few people that work as a team bringing drinks, food, bread, clearing, etc and it all... More

This restaurant simply blew us away: not just my wife and me but our adult children as well. It wasn't cheap by any means, but we much preferred every facet of this meal, at half the cost, to a super fancy meal we'd had in Las Vegas a week earlier. In truth, there wasn't a dish that wasn't superb, including... More

My nephew was getting married and he invited his parents and my husband I to enjoy he and JoJo for a quiet dinner before the masses arrived. When he told me we were going to Evan's it was even that much more special. We have been coming to Tahoe forever and I always wanted to try it. Well...let's just say,... More

When in Tahoe we go here every summer and it is always fantastic! Got the filet as usual and it was spectacular. They let you substitute vegetable so I got asparagus instead of the broccolini. Also comes with potatoes au gratin. Good service but not really engaging. Arrived a little early and had to wait outside until people left. Only... More

We went for an early dinner, 5.30pm after a drive around the lake. It is a pretty, small house and could be easily missed but fortunately we had a GPS. There were lots of options on the menu. The mushroom bisque was delicious and the new Summer salad consisting of grilled watermelon, heirloom tomatoes and goat cheese was delightful. I... More

Evan's never disappoints! The grilled watermelon heirloom tomato salad was one of a kind and what a unique blend of ingredients that tasted perfect together! I had the red pepper fettucine with scallops and it was heavenly! Service was attentive but not overwhelming. I really don't understand the reviewer who criticized crackers as ours were perfect with the pate'. The... More
