Amazing entrees that you won't find anywhere else

This was our fourth visit over about 12 years. At our last visit I wrote a review that was titled "Not to be missed". After this most recent visit, I would say that it's still very good but somehow a little less delicious and impressive than before. The lobster cheesecake appetizer was just so-so.My wife had the scallops which were... More

My guy is a genuine mid-western "meat and taters" kind of guy. When I showed him the quaint house where I had made reservations for his birthday, he was uncertain (to say the least). Being a great sport, and knowing that I was trying to do something special for him, he went along with my dinner plans. He couldn't have... More

Tried out this restaurant since it is the No. 1 ranked eatery on Trip Advisor. The food is quite ordinary, very large portions, salty and heavy. Extensive selections but the items are indeed of the cafe category. Crackers are out of boxes and daily specials taste pre-cooked. Service is fast and simplistic and diners can be out of there in... One of the best restaurants that is located in the South Lake Tahoe area. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. It is relatively small so reservations are a must.

Good is always good and so is the service. One of the better restaurants in Tahoe. It's expensive so we don't go there a lot, but always good when we do. Small so reservations recommended.

There are lots of good restaurants in Tahoe, but Evans is a step above and has been for 28 years. The restaurant is a small converted house that is cozy, yet has a touch of elegance. What is unique is the waitstaff which is plentiful and attentive without being obtrusive. The food is unique and has a very creative flair.... More

We have now been to Evans at least four or five times, but it has been more than a year since our last visit. Last night we visited again and had one of the best dinners we have had anywhere. Nearly every dish was a masterpiece. The scallops quenelle appetizer is truly amazing. The service, too, is nearly perfect. I... More

Food: 9/10 Staff: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Location: 6/10 Recommendation: Perfect for a special occasion in Tahoe. Make a reservation. The food was elegant and delicious. The fish was perfect and desserts were amazing. The staff was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is was upscale although very small. The location is out of the way but easy to get to.
