Food is good, especially breakfast is really good. We had to wait for 45 minutes, that explains how famous this place is at tahoe. Service is also good, very crowded though during holiday times.

Stayed nearby so accidentally walked into it. Menu sounded good and reasonably priced. Friendly hostess who seemed interested in helping everyone even though we had a 25 min wait.. Were not disappointed at all. Tasty mushroom soup and wife had half portion of meal more than enough. Great meal, service and prices. Downside one restroom stall only.

Three friends and I came here on a recommendation. It was great! I can highly recommend their omelettes and they had great cocktails (we had mimosas and a bloody mary). A friend of mine at the steak special, which was also very good. The cafe is quite large and there was no wait when we arrived. The service was great... More

I stopped in for breakfast after reading about it here on trip advisor and was not disappointed. I had the meat lovers omelet which was cooked perfectly. The combination of flavors was delicious. The service was top notch with a very attentive wait staff. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to eat before you... More

While attending our son's wedding in South Lake Tahoe, we stumbled over the Driftwood Cafe and decided to have breakfast there. This was on a Sunday morning and there was a line of people waiting to be seated. That is typically a good sign and in this case, yes, this was indeed a good sign of things to come! The... More

This place is BUSY. I would recommend making reservations in advance. We ate here one morning, waited an hour to be seated. Food was pretty good, had the country fried steak.

Driftwood is located right in Heavenly village. Always a good breakfast here. Pancakes, eggs, omelets, good coffee.

I've lived in Tahoe my whole life and I have yet to find a better breakfast than the Carolina Connection from Driftwood Cafe. Good service, local owners, the bomb!

We really enjoyed the clam chowder. One relative had a burger and loved it. My cousin and I split a sandwich and it was delish. A cute place that was recommended by a local.
