Great Italian food, make reservation

We went to Primos for our daughters birthday dinner, had a reservation and was seated right away. We did see the host turn people away or tell them it would be at least 35 min wait. Alex our waiter greeted us right away went over the menu and told us the specials for the night. He also helped pick... read more

I found Primo's Italian Bistro quite by accident and it turned out to be one of the best places I have eaten in South Lake Tahoe. I was looking for another business and my wife Primo's out. I didn't know the restaurant was there. We decided to check it out that evening. It was evident right away that locals frequent... More

My wife and I went here for lunch, the service was great and the food was even better! They make their own pasta which was so tasty! I had the lasagna and my wife had the linguine carbonara. The prices were also great compared to most of the places around. I would definitely go back.

Tucked in the far end of a strip mall off Highway 50 and next to a laundromat, you might never think to walk in the door, which would mean you might miss a great meal. Our party of 5 had several different entrees, including a couple of the specials and all were lovely, as were the salads as a starter.... More

Antipasto was the best variety we have seen! Loved it! We wanted the Caesar salad but not a huge dinner Caesar that was on the menu. But they gladly made a small one for each of us for only $3 that even had anchovies! Our main entrees were Osso Bucco and Eggplant Parmesan - no blandness here - seemed like... More

It was raining and miserable and we really just wanted dinner, but we were so lucky to have found this place! Superb food, a very nice wine list, personable waitstaff, and nice prices.

I am from NY so pretty snobby about my Italian food. This place was a total find. It seems family owned so the service is a little slow, but if you sit back and relax, you will totally enjoy your meal. We had chicken parm and Osso Buco which were both excellent.

Walked in without a reservation and only had to wait 5 min for a table. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Very impressed, we'll be back. Thank you

The front desk of our motel highly recommended Primo's for dinner. What a wonderful meal we had! I started out with a cup of tomato basil soup, and my husband had a caesar salad. The soup was thick and chunky, and tasted homemade. The salad dressing was homemade and quite tasty. We ordered the lasagna, which we were told would... More

Ordered chicken parmigiana for take out. It was lunch time and the restaurant was empty. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce didnt taste good as expected. Food was not appealing! My husband ended up getting take out at the thai place beside it.
