Late lunch after a hard morning of skiing

My wife and I stopped here after some hard skiing at Sierra in the morning. We shared the Pear & Walnut salad and a Fire Roasted Medley pizza. Both dishes exceeded our expectations for a pizza joint located in a touristy area. The walnuts were the star on the salad with plenty of gorgonzola and... read more

You should try the best pizza: gorgonzola and pear. The restaurant is very well located - in the Heavenly village

While staying in the village, we were entertained daily with the music at Base Camp Pizza. We sat outside, enjoyed a large selection of draft beer and found the pizza to be excellent. Outside heaters are used to keep you warm and toasty. Just ask the locals for one of the best places to enjoy casual dining, and they will... More

Got there at 5pm on a Saturday night and it was packed! Ordered the ravilois, Hawaiian and Meat Lovers pizza. Food was great and our server Houston was always around! Great place!

It's a great pizza joint however be prepared for a long wait. The pizzas were really good however the cold air blowing in from the door made it slightly uncomfortable.

We have been to this restaurant a few times and always find the food very good. We really enjoy the Greek salad and the Mediterranean pizza. They also have a good selection of craft beer! Sit outside under the heaters and enjoy the people watching!

Fantastic selection of micro-brew beers...including Russian River's Pliny the Elder along with very tasty fire cooked pizza. Ordered the Thia chicken pizza with sweat curry... yummy.

Location wise, Base camp pizza probably the best, close to the heart of south lake tahoe central, step back to Marriott in minute. you have nothing to complain about the food, plus services are very considerable, we dropped our pizza on the ground, they give us new one without charge. The only bad thing for them is long waiting line.

This is a cool spot with ample outdoor seating with fire pits. Kid friendly for the parents out there. They have a really good draft beer selection and the pizza was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed our dinner and we'll definitely return!

I have now been to Base Camp a few times and it's just as good every time. Their pizza is fantastic! I also am a huge fan of their appetizers. The wait is always a bit long on the weekends, but it is well worth the wait. It's a great place for groups, they have outdoor seating with heat lamps... More
