Great food and people.

The food here was good as advertised. I ate there once and ordered as a take-out the second time. It does get pretty busy but the people there are able to juggle through the madness and still able to stay very jovial and polite. The live music outside is a great touch, very relaxing.

Family and I ate here twice. The hostesses both times seems so busy when we approached them and took time to get them to take our name for seating (it seemed they were avoiding us because of our kids). Then sat us at a square table for 4 when we were 5. We made it work. but The waiter... younger... More

Loved the pizza here. I am a big fan, and will go back when we return. The crust was great and we both had build your own personal pizzas that had a wide choice of items. The salads are bug enough to share if you like. Highly recommend this place!!

Base Camp is not only the best pizza in Tahoe, but one of the best pizzas I've ever had--and this includes joints all over Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. With the same ownership and executive chef as Azul (around the corner) it came as no surprise that the pizzas were amazing. From the usual and expected simple and traditional... More

This is a terrific place for lunch in South Lake Tahoe. We had the Base Camp pizza and found it to be excellent. I had a caesar salad with anchovies. It rivaled the best I have ever had. Outdoor dining is an option, and in the afternoon enjoyable live music is offered. We liked it so much, we had lunch... More

There was a bit of a wait, but worth it. The staff were attentive, friendly and quick. I had spaghetti and my friend had pizza. All good. A good selection of beers. It is located just across the state line in California in a sort of mall, nice surroundings..

Came here for lunch one day while on vacation. We didn't have to wait, but there were quite a few people there (on a Monday early afternoon). I had the pear and gorgonzola pizza. It was heavenly. We wanted to go back for dinner later in the week, but the night we went the wait was over 1.5 hours, so... More

Upon arriving to put our names in the staff were a bit rude. they began speaking to someone else who walked up after us and all three people focused on that person. We took the first seats available because there was a long wait. we were seated in a room where there was a live band. The band was good... More

The food is really good, but it took almost 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. Once they finally got our order, things got better. I would go back here again as the pizza was that good. The location is central to Heavenly Village, so it is very convenient too.
