Located in a strip mall near Off the Hook Jalisco is worth seeking out. The food is very good and inexpensive. Typical mexican dishes are hearty and well prepared. My chili relleno combo plate was very good. The beans apparently are not made w lard and are vegetarian. The rice was good. My wife enjoyed a veg taco and quesadillas... More

Went here on a lark after finding that a highly reviewed place had gone out of business -- this definitely exceeded expectations. A very low-key atmosphere -- you order at the counter -- but service was extremely friendly and attentive. The menu is not extremely large, but what they make they do very well. We had the Super and California... More

Loved it so much the first time we went we have gone back at least once a week. The price is right, the service is great but best of all the food is delicious. We have brought friends and family there as well to enjoy this fantastic Tahoe find.

The menu is nothing out of the ordinary but the food is very good and well priced. The service was excellent. This is the place the locals with limited budgets seem to eat so you know it can't be bad. Not a great location but do you want to pay double for a view or get a good meal that... More

Tired and hungry from a day of hiking in the mountains, we scrapped our plan for dinner at an upscale restaurant and opted for some simple, filling Mexican food at Jalisco Grill. Hidden at the back of a strip mall, Jalisco is a low-budget operation. A lovely young woman greeted us and explained the procedure: order first (very inexpensive!), select... More

After hiking we were hungry and tired decided to try this place after reading the reviews. First it was hard ro find even with a GPS. A hole in the wall. Useful info : this place does not accept credit cards. The menu is very limited and what we had was disappointing. My burrito with beef was very plain and... More

We were looking for some good Mexican fare and after reading a few reviews found this little gem! Owned by Alma and George Zepeda, they are cranking out some authentic dishes. I had the three taco plate and tried the Pollo, Asada, and Pastor. Got to say that they were all delicious but the Pastor was the best. Perfectly seasoned... More

If you want to eat very good home made Mexican food. This is the place. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in SLTahoe and this one is actually hard to find, but again if it is authentic food you want this is what you get. You place your order when you come in - menu is listed above the... More

This place is so friendly you feel like family. Food was beyond fantastic. Service was top notch. You place your order when you enter and from there they take over. Rellenos and enchilas rock! Only beer and soft drinks but don't let that stop you.

Doesn't have the greatest decor, but it was wonderfully quick service and delicious Mexican food. Most of the items could be done a la carte and very good value for what you get.
