I debated between 3 and 4 stars for this place for quite awhile, but finally went with 3. I must say the service was excellent, very friendly, a warm greeting as soon as we walked in. We had five people in our party and our food order was accurate and delivered to our table quickly, so two thumbs up for... More

We tried Jalisco on our first night in South Lake Tahoe. Although the food was a little too spicy for me, my husband loved it. Freshly made and quickly prepared, we all left full and satisfied.

This is a very good Mexican place. This place is very down to earth. They have a very simple place with basic furniture. No shiny lights or granite counters. But if you stay a moment longer, you'll notice that the place is neat and clean, the service is excellent, the food is great (it's actually more authentic Mexican than what... More

I went here for a quick mexican fix and was not disappointed. I had their taco plate and my wife ordered a few tostados. The service was extremely friendly and the food was down-to-earth and tasty. They have a salsa bar and a cozy atmosphere. The prices are amazingly cheap as well. We spent $13 for our meal, including drinks.... More

Read a couple reviews which made us pull in, and so glad we did! Excellent authentic Mexican dishes, low prices, cold bottled beer, and the most friendly and helpful waitstaff we found in the area. Situated at the end of a small strip mall, the ambience is laid back and friendly. As others noted, the only drawback is that it... More

I read the reviews and decided to give it a try while we were in Tahoe for a wedding. The pork was so tender and flavorful in my Super Burrito. And it was gigantic! My husband had the chili verde burrito. Both were so very good. I loved that there was a salsa bar, giving us options we don't normally... More

We went to Jalisco Grill one night recently during our stay at Lake Tahoe. Three of us ate some excellent Mexican food, and we were able to leave with a tab of $15. It has a small menu, but the food is well prepared and fresh. Cash only, but at these prices, that's not hard to accomplish!

Located in a strip mall near Off the Hook Jalisco is worth seeking out. The food is very good and inexpensive. Typical mexican dishes are hearty and well prepared. My chili relleno combo plate was very good. The beans apparently are not made w lard and are vegetarian. The rice was good. My wife enjoyed a veg taco and quesadillas... More

Went here on a lark after finding that a highly reviewed place had gone out of business -- this definitely exceeded expectations. A very low-key atmosphere -- you order at the counter -- but service was extremely friendly and attentive. The menu is not extremely large, but what they make they do very well. We had the Super and California... More
