I have no idea why we've never gone to Macduff's, but now we're hooked! A little difficult to find, but it's across from the lake, down Fremont Street, just off Hwy 50. What a surprise! Outside dining had a waiting list, so we opted to eat at the bar upstairs. A bit stuffy, but there's nothing better than watching a...

Looking for a dinner place on our first evening in South Lake Tahoe, we just accidently found MacDuff's Pub down at the end of a side street. There were a lot of people sitting outside and the whole atmosphere looked really inviting. Because it was late and we had traveled most of the day, we opted for light dinners consisting...

WOW!!! This is a must when visiting SLT. Our Captain Kris from Tahoe Sport Fishing recommended we take our two Trout, which were enough for a meal for 4 to Macduff' so we did and he was spot on. We had it baked in a creamy dill sauce, a blackened Cajun rub (my favorite) and fried in the lightest crust....

We were pleasantly surprised to find a rather extensive menu - much more than the usual bar food we had expected. Don't look for especially "healthy" dishes though. I had their traditional fish and chips - haddock and hand-cut fries with homemade tartar sauce. It was excellent although the chips were a little soggy. My wife had beet salad -...

The bar is upstairs just so you know. Upon arriving we were a little worried with the setup but after sitting down we were happy. Our waitress was knowledgable and happy to help us select something different to drink from the menu. We got to meet Bob the large and super friendly Rottweiler. The setup is nice and extremely comfortable...

We went here based on a tripadvisor review and the food and atmosphere was so good we came back again. Large choice of drinks and great food. We had fish and chips, bangers and mash, the pizza is very good, caesar salad delicious, and beef pie was very tasty. The portions are large, so we had lunch for the next...

Get the Sheperd's Pie; it got two thumbs up from the Scotsman I went with. (lamb not beef!)
The bartenders are great and I presume get their energy and gregarious spirit from the 4 owners, one of which you'll always find chilling at the pub in their little corner bench area with Bob, the pub dog.
It's a great story,...

Our photo tour guide suggested this pub. It was great. Good hearty beer - and I had a great drink with Myers Rum and their home squeezed orange juice. They had gluten free crust for a pizza - what a treat. Everyone working that evening stopped by to say hi and welcome us. Joe, Joseph, and Chrystal all said hi....

Never being to England, I can only imagine what the food must be like. Everything here is homemade and is typical of what you would find in an English Pub...... or so I'm told. A nice choice of entres, sandwiches and drinks. We had the corned beef and cabbage and the fish and chips and both were great. Service was...
