There are three Red Hut Cafés in South Lake Tahoe; they are equally good. Hash browns are homemade and wonderful!

If you are on A DIET, DON'T EAT HERE ABD DON'T DRESS-UP! The food isn't for those who like gourmet food, but for those who love down-home cooking and are hungry. So, come hungry and leave full!

The "Hut" has been on the South shore forever and a day.. It is THE best breakfast place and makes a mean lunch too. Its tradition on the Lake to eat at the Hut. Its a great place and owned by locals. You can not go wrong here, and to come to the Lake and not eat at the Hut... More

Very casual place, nice décor and a decent menu selection. Food is good but expect to pay just slightly more since it's located in a high traffic area without much competition. Usually a 15-30 minute wait at normal breakfast times. The gift shop is a nice place to pass the time while you wait, or just sit in the adjoining... More

I am a local and when I come here I always get the usual. This includes 2 eggs to order, hash browns and a biscuit with some amazing gravy on top. I have... More

Locals favorite, good value, large portions, fast service, friendly staff. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Three locations at the Lake.

This place is by far one of the best breakfast places we've been to on vacation. Try their tasty omelets and you can't leave without trying their jalapeño bacon...

Very busy but we were seated quickly at the counter and service was friendly and quick. Food delicious but as everywhere in US it was huge! Why has no one figured out that smaller, cheaper portions would cut obesity, waste and the cost of take out boxes!!
