The setting is woodsy Tahoe looking, the staff sweet and attentive, the portions reasonable, the value terrific. They have one of the best lunches in Tahoe, soup, appetizer, salad, entree, desert all for around 8.00, and delicious. We love the large selection of curries, shrimp or spring rolls, fried wontons, we stop on the way around the lake and buy... More

After 10 days on the road in small towns in Utah, Nevada, Arizona we really wanted something tasty and healthy. Glad we have found this place. The soups were nice. The fried rice was outstanding as were all the curries. The crispy crazy duck is superb as is the basil duck. Very good value overall, enjoyed it a lot.

Very good curry, friendly service, reasonable prices. The vegetables are fresh and crisp. The curry gravy is tasty. I have returned several times, always to a positive experience.

Good thai food, huge portions, nice ambiente. They even replaced the veggies with what we liked best and they were very quick with serving!

Thai Benjarong was formerly known as Thai Nakhorn II. It is under new ownership. Flavor and quality of food was very good. Service efficient and friendly. A wide choice of dishes that can be prepared as spicy or as mild as you request. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. It's now on my favorite restaurants in Lake Tahoe... More

First of all... the food was amazing and authentic. I asked the owner for a soup with coconut milk lemongrass, lime & shrimp....it was SO amazing! Keeping a keen eye on the tables, he noticed I was fishing out little bits tomato on to a small plate and said: "Next time..no tomato" I also ordered a Chardonay with a side... More

We visited twice during our month in South Lake Tahoe. Obviously would not go back if the food wasn't good. It did not help the first time when the restaurant went by two names. Selection is very good as is often found in Thai restaurants. The Avocado Spring rolls were new to us and a pleasant surprise. All the main... More

The Nakorn II is now the Benjarang, and while the menu has not changed the new managers are inept. Credit card machine broken; the Tom-Kha soup appeared last, after 5 reminders, long after everything else had been eaten; cashier tried to pocket change from the bill; and they seemed to be scrimping on the heater, it was cold inside. There... More
