It's in the kalk bay area pretty much overlooking the harbour. I was there for breakfast. The eggs turned out just fine, the coffee even better. Its a road side place with a lot of character. Like any self respecting cafe ought to, they bake their own breads and pastries and they do a very good job of it. For... More

My friend who just moved to the area from US brought me here. It was small and very crowded even early on a Monday night. It is very local and the seafood is very fresh. The mussel is plump and delicious, and the line caught yellow tail was really well prepared. My husband was amazed at how fast the cooks... More

This was the best place where we had eaten in our South African journey. The atmoshere is unique, placed in front of the harbour. Main course 70-90 rand. Fresh fish is literally delicious, the service is fast and the staff really friendly. You must get it.

I usually avoid this kind of hipster place but this was worth my time. Food is good, service is perfect and friendly (our waiter looked like Jared Leto but smarter), prices are soft, all in all, an excellent bet . Kalk Bay is also worth a visit as it is an über hipster city with very nice shops.

No frills (keep it like that!!). Great grub - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Worth the wait if it is crowded.

Following its very good reputation we had a late lunch at Olympia Cafe and were blown away by the quality of the food, especially the Mussels. The portion size was incredible, the taste and freshness absolutely terrific. I cannot wait to return again and can only recommend this vibey, liveley, and welcoming restaurant.

Generosity, and style and absolutely delicious and honest food. My favourite restaurant anywhere. The fish dishes are always fresh with the fish perfectly cooked and juicy. They encourage BYO but the house wines are adequate. The bread, of course, is spectacular.

If driving out to the Cape Point, through Kalk Bay, stop here for breakfast or lunch. Our eggs were excellent, the coffee is perfection, the croissant are delectable. Servers were welcoming but not overbearing. The clientele is local and the place has a hippie vibe. I would not seek this place out as a dining destination, but if in the... More

Got around to Olympia Cafe with wife and kids for early supper last night. This place is legendary. The mussels are great, as is mostly everything else on the daily changing menu. No bookings, so get there in time for the 6pm dinner start.
