Great food, friendly service

I loved that the food was sourced as locally as possible and there was a good choice of beers and wines from Central Otago. We all enjoyed our generous meals and desserts. Had a good chat with Knobby which added to the enjoyment of our evening.

There was no Clothes Dryer or Drying Room available to House Guests so we hung our wet clothes around the Wood Burner in the Public Bar. We were told there was no TV for guests as the reception drops in and... More

A welcoming environment for our city-families totaling 8 (4 adults, 4 kids). Wide menu range for the location. Thoroughly enjoyed the publican's personable service, and wine recommendations. Would definitely return :).

We didn't actually stay here or even have a drink or bite to eat but were told to wait outside here for our transport pickup. On seeing us waiting for sometime the owner came out to check we were ok and if he could help at all. He was super friendly and helpful and we had a great conversation. Look... More

I enjoyed a large and yummy meal of steak, chips and salad - much needed after a big day of bike riding. The publican was friendly and made us feel at home!
