Description: This is a delightful cafe/restaurant that provides excellent low priced meals in a setting on the banks of the Clarence River. It is right beside the Pacific Highway and is an excellent break point for those driving the Sydney-Brisbane highway. We have eaten there twice in the past week and were most impressed. We think it should be better known, especially as the service is especially friendly.

A nice view of the river, soft grass for kids or dogs torun around on and water dragons that come right up to your table. A really nice little relaxing spot just off the freeway. Pretty decent scones and Toby Estate coffee.

The food is good, the price is not too bad the service is friendly and reasonably efficient and best of all the position is fabulous, particularly on a nice day when you can get a garden table overlooking the Clarence River. BUT the fact that management allow people with dogs to dine in the garden area really lets the place... More

Just enjoyed a lovely meal at Cafe Clarence on our way north! I am very particular about my salmon and it came exactly as I requested. Beautiful!! Our salads were fresh and beautifully dressed. Reasonably priced! Lovely old pub with good wine list. So nice to be able to get something other than "pub grub" when travelling!!

Our burgers were not worth the price and particularly the hour's wait it took to get them. The excuse a busload of tourists which arrived well after we got there & were served before us. If we had been informed of the probable delay when ordering we wouldn't have stayed.

Well I tried this place once again to see if it had improved. Well sorry no it hasn't my wife and I bought the Moroccan Burger at $16 each...waste of money it was dry and very little flavour. The coffee was just drinkable and had a burnt taste. I am sorry Ulmarra Hotel we wont be stopping in on our... More

Great view of the Clarence River. We found a shady spot right by the river and enjoyed the fish & chips and dessert. Will be back on the way down to Canberra.

Very generous meals that are also delicious. The view is lovely over the mighty Clarence. Had takeaway deserts that were divine. Triple choc cookies also a nice treat.

Walking past and saw how lovely the setting was so dropped in for coffee. Toby's Estate coffee didn't disappoint and it was a chore to choose from all the yummy homemade desserts. Sticky date pudding was sensational and traditional cheesecake was huge and tasty! Quick service and beautiful, shady garden setting overlooking the mighty Clarence was a perfect spot to... More

This was our coffee break stop after leaving Coffs Harbour, lovely location by the river with nice strong coffee and a great range of home-made cakes & sweets, the home-made Monte Carlos were huge and very tasty.

We have eaten here several times now and the food was beautiful every time. The riverfront park like location is very nice, we have eaten at all the pubs in the Clarence and we think its the best pub food in the Clarence Valley.
