Description: This is a delightful cafe/restaurant that provides excellent low priced meals in a setting on the banks of the Clarence River. It is right beside the Pacific Highway and is an excellent break point for those driving the Sydney-Brisbane highway. We have eaten there twice in the past week and were most impressed. We think it should be better known, especially as the service is especially friendly.

Great view of the Clarence River. We found a shady spot right by the river and enjoyed the fish & chips and dessert. Will be back on the way down to Canberra.

Very generous meals that are also delicious. The view is lovely over the mighty Clarence. Had takeaway deserts that were divine. Triple choc cookies also a nice treat.

Walking past and saw how lovely the setting was so dropped in for coffee. Toby's Estate coffee didn't disappoint and it was a chore to choose from all the yummy homemade desserts. Sticky date pudding was sensational and traditional cheesecake was huge and tasty! Quick service and beautiful, shady garden setting overlooking the mighty Clarence was a perfect spot to... More

This was our coffee break stop after leaving Coffs Harbour, lovely location by the river with nice strong coffee and a great range of home-made cakes & sweets, the home-made Monte Carlos were huge and very tasty.

We have eaten here several times now and the food was beautiful every time. The riverfront park like location is very nice, we have eaten at all the pubs in the Clarence and we think its the best pub food in the Clarence Valley.

Cafe Clarence has a great view over the river. There is cosy indoor seating and lots of outdoor tables. The wide range of delicious cakes E.g. Sweet mandarin, traditional cheesecake, Black Forest torte, are made onsite. The coffee was good and the service warm.

If you are after some where to stop close to the highway, with great food and beverages then you can't beat Cafe Clarence. 300 m off the highway with easy parking and great views. The best Chai Latte on the mid north coast. Great coffee as well and, if they have them available, make sure you try the melting moments!... More

The service is good and the size of the meals are great but alas that is about as far as it goes. I had the Chicken Schnitzel it looked great on the plate but it had no taste whatsoever. The gravy looked like jelly and had no taste, the chips were OK as well as the salad.

We went to cafe Clarence for lunch today. It was a bit busy but not overly. We were told we would have a 25min wait for our food. 40min later were told it would be another 15 min. Another 35 min later we received out food. My steak burger(the most expensive on the menu) had a revolting piece of minute... More

Sorry to rain on parade, we decided to break at Ulmarra instead of the usual Hungry Jacks at Grafton. Expecting good solid pub food for a real lunch, the menu consisted of the likes of prawns in some exotic sauce on a bed of something hipster, Moroccan lamb etc. all for about $25 with apparently a half hour wait to...
