Opening Hours Breakfast and Lunch 8.30am - 2.30 pm (7days) Dinner 6.00pm - 8.30pm Tues- Sat Outstanding Coffee This is a delightful cafe/restaurant that provides excellent low priced meals in a setting on the banks of the Clarence River. It is right beside the Pacific Highway and is an excellent break point for those driving the Sydney-Brisbane highway. We have eaten there twice in the past week and were most impressed. We think it should be better known, especially as the service is especially friendly.

Oasis on the river😀

Excellent spot to stop for a bite to eat - we had lovely fresh juices, BLAT and toasted sandwich plus took a lovely slice of cake away for the journey. Service was great as was the atmosphere. Great garden area outside by the river. Highly recommended as a stop off.

After breakfast in Byron Bay our next stop was Ulmarra. I completely did not expect such a gem! Great food. Excellent and fast service. Nice outdoor area to sit in the sun along the river. Pet friendly Beautiful scones with jam and cream of course. A must stop location.

We really enjoyed our beautiful meals here (dinner & breakfast). The menu offers more than just the typical pub food, and the Moroccan Honey & Mint Syrup Cake was a highlight!

We couldn't face another service centre stopover so went looking for a more local experience and were pleasantly surprised by this place. We tried the carrot, ginger and something else cake and it was delicious, best carrot cake I have ever had. Great location on the river and look out for the bearded dragons (lizards)

I've eaten here twice - once with my partner and once by myself. The food is good, prices reasonable and the staff helpful and friendly. It's only open Friday and Saturday nights. We would definitely eat here again.

Didn't stay at the hotel but pulled in for Lunch at the Cafe whilst suffering the terribleness of the A1 drive and its roadworks. Its a block off of the highway north of Grafton and has plenty of parking, even those towing a block of units for camping will be able to pull up on the side of the road.... More

Went and had a brunch here on a Sunday morning - usually the place is pretty full with travellers and locals, enjoying a leisurely break. There is a well set out indoor eating area as well as an outdoor area with great views of the Clarence River. My wife had the chorizo on Turkish with sun-dried tomatoes and rocket (from... More

We stayed in Ulmarra for two nights, so got to sample breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first night we had local caught fish and chips; portion sizes were excellent and the food was fresh and tasty. Definitely try the home made tartare sauce! Breakfast and lunch were just as good, and the indoor/outdoor setting is serene and relaxing. Staff are... More

This is an out of the way gem. a classic Aussie pub in a beautifully preserved tiny township. It deserves its heritage overlay all the shops here have retained their original look; no smick sales here!

After years of travelling up and down the Pacific highway and having way too many dodgy pies at grubby pit stops, I now have a fantastic place to have a proper bite to eat. The cafe Clarence is at the back of the heritage pub in Ulmarra, and if you have 40 mins to spare and want good food, I... More
