Came down to the tiny Napua Wharf area last night while staying in Ruby Bay. Happened to pop into Jellyfish on "Curry Night", what an amazing surprise! Lamb Shank in Massaman curry was amazing, as was the Green Shelled Mussels and Garlic Bread. Definitely a great find, seek it out for dinner when you are in the area, especially on... More

I stopped in for lunch on a very quiet day and thought it would be lovely to sit outside on the wharf and enjoy the view over the bay. Since this restaurant is on the water and next to a place that smokes fresh fish (The Smokehouse), I decided to try the fish & chips. What a disappointment. The fish... More

We shared the salt and pepper squid and the tapas. It was all delicious! The service was friendly and efficient and despite it being a busy day in the school holidays was reasonably prompt. It is such a beautiful place that one doesn't mind waiting!

Had a very nice lunch at Jellyfish Cafe and Bar. Staff very helpful and service efficient. Lovely spot to sit and watch the boats and water of the Mapua Inlet.

Great location by the bay. Nice and spacious. Had a quiet lunch on a Monday afternoon. Generally nice. Food was alright but not the best. Had mussels for $19. They weren't exactly as large as those which I've had at other parts of New Zealand but they were still alright. Sauce was tasty. Service was okay, fairly quick since there... More

Went here for breakfast, had the jellyfish breakfast. Was amazing as always. But the older lady with the glasses I can't say the same for. Her coffee was burnt and spilt all over the saucer. Very unfriendly and stuck up. Snatched the menu off me and my partner. Not a good start to my day.

Awesome fire on a cold evening, atmosphere on a Friday night was great, food though is ok but not upto the environment, we had crispy sliced sourbread and dips to start which had really strange tasting bitter black olives on it and a thai pork starter and cider Mussels, both we're very salty! However we would go back for drinks... More

We had the lunch at this place as part of the mapua smoke house experience, although the smoke house was not as good of the range as what I remembered. The surrounding area definitely has more eating place to offer. This place does a sit down lunch and the service is pretty warm and relaxed with the sea view just... More

Stopped in Mapua to eat on our way to Kaiteriteri from the airport. We really enjoyed the food, especially the mussels. Service was friendly, great cider.
