What a fabulous meal in a beautiful restaurant, It was like going back in time. The service was excellent and the food was faultless. It is a long time since I have had such an enjoyable dining experience. Lucky find and one to remember. Very good value.

Who doesn't crave a special restaurant on the banks of the Po river? The grounds are tranquil and beautiful, full of slender trees that go right to the edge of Italy's largest river. There is a primary reason to come here, even for no other reason than to taste the culatello, the divine ham prepared here on site. Add to... More

Recommended by a renowned chef in Alabama, it was a bit hard to find at night in the dark, but well worth the effort. We drove there from Parma, about a 45 minute drive. It was not in a town, but next to farm. All the food served comes from the farm. White linen, silver and china in the one... More

My wife and I were there for lunch on Wednesday, September 17th on our way from Arezzo to Lake Orta and planned to have lunch, something we had wanted to do many times in the previous 15 years, but never managed to do as the restaurant was somewhat out of our driving plans. d attentive. We shared a cold cuts appetizer... Sunday lunch with family at this restaurant and we had very good food. Must try absolutely selction of their three different ages Culatello home made and their home made cutlets and salami. Risotto al tartufo was also very good and their signature dish "Suprema di Cappone" was really something delicious. Maybe we would suggest to divide in a better way... More

The ambience is quite good. Warm old style interiors. To my personal taste the Entrees are quite good. First Courses, (almost all Pasta and Rice dishes) are with ingredients whose tastes are not well balanced. Main Courses are just normal in taste and cooking.

A truly out of the way place, we drove out for lunch as part of a day trip to Parma. The interior has all of the charm of a country restaurant but with just a bit of formality reflected in both the decor and service. The extensive menu has an excellent selection of predominantly meat based antipasti, an interesting cross... More

Such gracious hospitality from our hosts! Luciano patiently answered our questions about menu translations and offered to eliminate the green peppers from the risotto when I mentioned that variety of vegetable did not agree with me. Everything we sampled was delicious and we are trying to figure out when we can make the return five-hour drive from Rome to enjoy... More
