If you are into great food and you don't go to this restaurant then you are missing out on a wonderful experience. The food is creative and delicious, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Everything about lo e Luna is fabulous. It was without a doubt our best meal in Italy.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Piemonte, located in Guarene on the Roero side (less touristic than lovely Langhe). The food is based on the traditional Piemontese, but modernized and some dishes are spectacular. The view is great, too. The amuse and the bonus desserts are great, too. A minus for the wine list, because several of the... More

My husband took me and the family here for my birthday. Upon arrival I wasn't sure what to expect since the decor is a little 'cold'. The staff however, were anything but cold and were very helpful in trying to explain what certain dishes were. Before our 'ordered' starters arrived, we had already received 3 different 'amuses' - each one... More

Very good, modern, inventive food but firmly based on the traditional Piemontese cuisine. Second visit and it is still very good! Were able to receive us at short notice for Sunday lunch. Had visitors by car also from as far away as Monte Carlo, so word must be spreading about this restaurant, which is well worth a visit!! Very small... More

a lovely local winemaker, Massimo Penna, took myself and my friend to Io e Luna as his friend is the chef. WOW!!! I live in Hong Kong and travel the world and this is probably one of the most amazing if not the best food I have ever eaten. We were alone for lunch and very well looked after so... More

The gentleman, Davide who runs this place is working basically solo to create some really awesome and inventive dishes. We did the degustatione menu for 45 euros and left stuffed and pleased. This is only of the few places in the area where I think you'll find food that's a little more creative than your basic Northern Italian fare and... More

Visit Piemonte at least once every year due to its beauty and wonderful food and wine. Used to getting wonderful eating experiences, but was still surprised and almost overwhelmed by the very high quality of food at Io e Luna on April 2. Had heard that the service was a bit slow, and quickly told the smiling waitress that we... More

We (my husband and 2 dear friends) arrived for lunch with no reservation and with no expectations whatsoever. The restaurant was recommended by Deltetto winery. What followed was nearly indescribable. Chef Davide Odone, alone in the kitchen, kept us occupied for nearly 3 hours with awesome presentation and taste. Each course was spectacular. The singular course that amazed was the... More

We visited this restaurant after reading the raving reviews below. The food was good yes, but not as good as it was the day before at la Volta Rossa in Roddi. The risotto was light, but bland and the meat a little overcooked. We chose an expensive 2004 Pio Cesare wine bottle and the waitress didn't bother to use a... More
