Second time eating here whilst staying close by before flying out from Bristol Airport. It has been busy on both occasion we have been there so I would advise making a booking so as not to be disappointed. The specials board has great choice aswell as the menu being plentiful. Definitely worth a visit!

There appears to be some confusion here with one of the previous reviews. I have been frequenting the Plough in Congresbury for many years and have never seen burgers on their menu !!!! As I read on it appears the reviewer has the the wrong pub, there is another Plough very local to the Plough in Congresbury who certainly have... More

We now regularly use the plough because of its excellent food, beer from the cask & the friendliness of the host & staff. The locals do tend to shy from outsiders but have a chat with them & you will get on ok.I would recommend the steak pie, wow, you get a pie filled with tender meat & not overflowing with sauce.Remember this is... We called into The Plough for a drink last Sunday with some friends and we ended up staying for lunch too, due somewhat to the torrential rain, but also as we were pleasantly surprised to find that the pub now served food. We used to be frequent visitors when we lived in the area some years ago. The food arrived... More

Whilst staying at the nearby Hilton for a conference I visited the pub and enjoyed a couple of pints with colleagues whilst sat in the nice beer garden. The beer was very good. We ordered food and this was very average (pre battered frozen fish for example) and not up to the offerings which you get in most decent pubs... More

We called in for Sunday lunch, following a recommendation, and really liked this place. The interior was unspoilt and welcoming and the garden to the rear was large and green and quiet with lots of tables. The food was top notch, delicious - though we were too full to try the tempting list of puds - and the selection of... More

We called at this pub as we liked the look of it when we passed previously. We were a family of six travelling from Swansea to Bristol Airport and thought it would be nice to stop for lunch. We went to the bar only to be greeted by the comment, children are not allowed in this pub but if you... More

I am unsure of what realm of fantasy the people who run the plough live in. Running a friendly welcoming pub is a very simple oporation if you're good at it. Upon ordering ordering two pints, we were forced to buy snacks in order to meet the minimum £10 spend on card as they were unwilling to let us have... More

Nice traditional pub. Dogs welcome and children aren't. Hooray. I found the landlord very friendly as wars the locals?? Beer very good. I had a really nice porter which was very good. Ordered a couple of steaks m- rare. Both were well done. That said, very good plate of food. Will return
