We ate here twice enjoying the well cooked food, the beautiful salads/side salads with the dinners, the decent portions and the wonderful authentic atmosphere in the pub. Add to that CAMRA qualifications and real ale directly from the barrel made a great place to return to. Just note, they do not serve food on Sunday nights.

We ate here on a Saturday night, the menu is good with lots of pub classics, the service is timely and friendly, the food is good. I had haddock and chips which was great, my husband had faggots which were also good. My criticism is that the one vegetarian dish on the menu is cheese and potato pie - essentially... More

We went out for dinner because we just didn't feel like cooking that very night. Chose the Plough as we live close but had never been before. It is a cozy pub, loads of space but in little nooks and it does not feel like an empty hall. The waiters are super friendly and know about the beers, ales, ciders... More

First time at this lovely little pub in congresbury. The staff are friendly, great local beers and the traditional English food which seemed home cooked was excellent value and really tasty. Definite revisit required.

I popped in for a few pints as i was staying at Cadbury House nearby, great pub with a warm atmosphere. Excellent selection of Beer & Ale, seemed very popular with the local residents

The Plough is a good old fashioned village pub. The welcome is friendly, the surroundings cosy and the guest beers are very good, if you like real ale. The food is good pub food served by friendly staff. All in all very good value for money. The only problem is that they don't allow children in the dining area, but... More

Place hardly opens and the landlord is rude arrogant and un friendly. With more effort made from the staff and a much needed garden overhall it would attract alot more people. Such a shame as it could be alot more. Won't be visiting here whilst the current owners are in place
