The only restuarant available

when we arrived the place was deserted. The only restaurant open was La Cialoma. The pasta with artichokes/gambari and olives was good but the price for a plate of pasta was too expensive. We had to sit on a bench as we were 9 persons and we could not stand up to go to the toilet. In the summer... read more

Stopped here on impulse. Seated at the back overlooking the sea. Good views but the flies were a problem (height of summer accepted but worse than elsewhere). Food was fine but was expensive and not great size portions.

this is really the gourmet experience you shall not miss, when you are in Sicily (East Coast) so not miss Modica and Marzamemi, this is a former fishermen village, which has been given recently new life, the 'piazzetta' is full of restaurants but this requires a special mention, the restaurant is little but with plenty of tables outdoor, both on... We were traveling with Genius Loci and had lunch at this taverna. We had the most amazing food. The aubergine rolls and burrata were delicious. In addition we had marinated shrimp and delicious anchovies. The arugula salad and the tomatoes were memorable. Many others have commented on the waitstaff as being unfriendly, but that was not our experience at all.... More

The food was delicious and really fresh, the kitchen staff looked trustworthy.but not worth the high price. As mentioned by other guests the service was completely uninterested in serving the guests. A pity for the overall experience.

Over priced nothing special food with bad service. Setting is beautiful and can't be beaten. Rather save your money and go somewhere special in one of the baroque towns.

The quality and freshness of the food is impeccable and worth the high cost of the courses. However, the staff is absolutely unfriendly, if not rude. Nobody asked whether we were enjoying the meal, nor even smiled, and they would often forget to bring cutlery or extra glasses for the wine. 9/10 on food. I recommend the aubergines cannoli and... According to our guide book this was the village to go to...... Arriving after almost 2 hours of the road we found ourselves on the village "piazza" in the stifling heat. And the place was deserted. We were lucky that one of our children wandered off and found the Taverna. They were happy to accommodate our party of 12. There... More

We came across this restaurant by accident as we were actually going to try Cortile Arabo but it was closed! We were seated on the terrace with a fabulous view of the port and the sea. The menu was in Italian and wasn't easy to translate but the waiter was really helpful. We started with marinated scampi with black pepper... More

I ate swordfish with fresh herbs and it was near perfect; my partner took the aubergine wrapped around tuma cheese with bur rata - again it was an utter delight for the palate. The restaurant is overlooks the ocean - all in all a wonderful meal in a lovely setting. I would thoroughly recommend the place and can't wait to... More
