Very good seafood

Nice atmosphere here in the sea. I always feel pretty good when I can see into the kitchen, even sticking my nose in now and then and we were not disappointed with what came out of it. If you read this review, congratulations! It means that in all probability you have already made a few good choices: 1. to go to Sicily; 2. to spend time in the "bottom right corner" of the island, i.e. the spectacular and fascinating area between Catania and Ragusa; 3. to find time to visit also the small but very nice village... I am writing this review days after my trip to Sicily is over. I had a dinner at La Cialoma and I must be honest, food was perhaps not the best I had in Sicily (but I would still rate it 'very good' compared to other destinations). But... I still have the taste of that beautiful, little, unique, so-deeply-Sicilian piazza... More

Whilst visiting this quaint, seaside town of Marzamemi, we came across this lovely, typical Sicilian Fish Restaurant. Our lunch of cheese stuffed aubergine for starters & fish for main course was delicious as was the wine to go with it. The service is good. We will visit again.

For mid october, the personnel was very kind and alert. We had grilled fish, cheese rolls and two kind of pasta. It was tasty and nicely prepared although way too expensive for what it is. The inner place of Marzamemi seems to have that kind of tariff as standard. Wouldn't return as we found later on spots where locals go... More

The restaurant gives one three seating options. Outside with a lovely sea view, inside or again outside in a delightful piazza. The service is very good if perhaps a little bit slow. The food is fantastic (portion sizes are very generous) and given the quality and quantity the price is perfectly acceptable.

A good restaurant indeed in particular for fish. Location is great. Everything was good, just a bit on the high side in terms of prices.

We sat on a nice terrace with sea view and were served by friendly staff. The food was just okay but was far too expensive. I mean it's okay to pay a bit more for the nice location, but double the price than normal is definitely too much.

We accidentally selected this for our first dinner in Marzamemi and were not disappointed. The seafood was wonderful, service perfect and the wines the suggested great! Would recommend this to anyone!

This may be a matter of taste and expectations but this was probably the most disappointing meal we had in a week of wonderful food in Sicily. It all felt like the Emperor's New Clothes. After some astonishingly great antipasti at the restaurant next door we were sad they couldn't do secondi so moved to la Cialoma. We wished we... More
