Made welcome

Made very welcome by landlord and staff. Lovely big room overlooking the church and the bells didn't keep us awake. Good choice of food and drinks, but only complaint was length in waiting to be served food in the evening. Parking close by on the road is available.

Nice looking place. It is dog friendly to a degree. But book first it's very bizzy. Food is a bit pricey as is the wine. You can try the wine before you buy it. This is more for upper class drinking not a working class I'm. A very nicely kept place

We stayed in nearby Ludgvan so we had a bit of a walk down to this pub. However it was well worth the walk, great atmosphere, nice ales, really tasty food and some great staff. The landlord was great and really helped us find some places in Cornwall that we otherwise would't off. Highly recommended!

Stopped off here just before setting off home. We stopped off at Sainsbury and this place popped up on Tripadvisor and it was right around the corner. We had a fantastic meal. The service was very quick and the food top quality. I had hake on a bed of shredded crab with vegetables. It was exquisite. Although just 5 mins... More

Very attractive pub from outside and once sat staff were very attentive, patient as we had 6 children under 6 with us and informative. Nothing was too much trouble even offering to change one of the kids meals after one had changed there mind. The kids food was just what the kids wanted and the adults well wow it was... More

Stopped off here for lunch. First ever visit. Driven past this place many times. Stopped off hoping for a steak but none in lunchtime menu. Had burger and chips instead and have to day very very good food. Thankyou. Nice place. Will be back !!

A really genuine place with excellent food, well presented and at a good price for what you're getting. Nice beer too, in a proper pub with a good selection of well kept ales and lagers (if you like your beer to be bland). For me there was just the right amount of choice from a really balanced meat/fish menu and... More

Went to this restaurant yesterday with family to celebrate my birthday and was very disappointed. As a vegetarian, there was no choice, only one option - Risotto which one of us had but came in the the most meagre portion. For £12,50 it was a tiny portion. I had a starter for my main as I did not want the... More

Great food - six of the seven of us had hake, which came in a broth which was so good one of our party wanted a spoon to finish it. The desserts were superb: chocolate parfait, lemon tart with elderflower meringue and raspberry curd with Caramac crumbs and cinnamon doughnuts. Cheeseboard also excellent. Service efficient and French gentleman behind bar... More

We are local and usually love the coldstreamer and often pop in for drinks. Tonight we were appalled though by tiny portion sizes. We are not the sort of people to complain but 4 tiny prawns for a fiver served on a plate smaller than a saucer with no garnish and then fish and chips main for £12 with the... More
