A Little off the Beaten Track

We came here a couple of times whilst on holiday in Cornwall. It's one of those low ceiling places with a log fire in winter, so is very cosy. The hand pulled "Doom Bar" beer was very moreish as was the good quality food. My wife had liver and onion, I had belly pork. Both were good quality and... read more

What a lovely little place this is. It's balanced the trick of local pub for locals, with tourists are welcome for a beautifully cooked meal. Village pubs can sometimes feel a little 'clicky' when you first walk in but this is a lovely welcoming pub. The food was delicious, I had local fish and my hubby and teens had steak.... More

Visited here for Sunday lunch while on holiday in the area having read the reviews and also looking for dog friendly establishments. The pub is very appealing from the exterior and we received a warm welcome on arriving. We had booked ahead and were seated in 'the snug' one of several nooks and crannies in this interesting pub. The menu... More

The food and service was extremely good and I loved the little nooks and crannies. Don't normally have a sweet but the main course was so good was tempted into Apple crumble and ice cream (mmmmmm). They didn't bat an eyelid when 2 of us asked for well done steak and it was done to perfection. Will definitely go again.

My son and his girlfriend took us here for birthday sunday lunch and although we booked for a late lunch, they even catered for my veggie daughter and she had a delicious nut roast and we all had tradition Sunday roasts and it was plentiful and delicious. The staff were very attentive. Look forward to our next visit.

Lovely, quaint, country pub with lot's of atmosphere and an excellent and varied menu. It was a lovely and sunny day when we went for lunch and so we sat outside on the decking which was nice addition to the pub. We all had a variety of meals, fish & chips with crispy and wonderful batter, the pork and apple... More

Well what a great find (not that I think it was ever lost!). It was a lovely sunny day, remember those?; and my friend and I had been to Chysauster to see the Iron age ruins. Driving home we decided to grab lunch, we passed through the village of Ludgvan and I spotted the White Hart and thought it looked... More
