We visited this public house last week for lunch and my parents had the ale pie and Spanish omelette which they both enjoyed very much and the portion sizes were very good. My daughter and I only had starters/lite bites - soup and sticky ribs and again both were delicious and good sized portions. We will definitely be going back... More

Food was very good, and very generous portions without losing any quality! If you go for the cheese platter be prepared that there's enough for 4 people to have as a cheese course (after dinner) or two for a lunch! Delicious though...

If anyone thinks, after reading recent Tripadvisor reviews, that I have shares in this pub/restaurant - I don't! Like those friends and family members I dine with, I'm a great fan of top-notch pub grub at prices which have you wondering if there's something you haven't been charged for. Add to this man-size portions, great hospitality, efficient service and a... More

Used this pub once as it was close to the caravan park we we're staying in at the small village of Heamoor. The pub is clean inside and the food is decent. We decided to go on Wednesday which is curry night. They have a few curries on the menu with different strengths from Korma to the Beast of Bodmin!... More

A warm welcome, pleasant staff, tasty lunch, huge choice of dishes, delicious desserts and a good cup of coffee to finish, it doesn't get much better than that!

Demanding diners, we have had lunch with family and/or friends at the Sportsman's Arms on half-a-dozen or so occasions over the past few months, and have found it to be so consistently good that it has become a firm favourite. We've come to expect, as the norm, obliging and friendly service, a good atmosphere, a varied menu, excellent fare, portions... More

We had lunch here after reading the excellent reviews on tripadvisor. It's not much to look at from the outside, and is small and cosy inside. The service was very friendly and the food was superb. The portions were very generous, so we didn't have space for pudding! My wife thought the homemade beef burger was the best one she'd... More

Near Penzance? Hungry and thirsty? Then make your way to The Sportsmans Arms in Heamoor. The food was excellent, plenty of it and beautifully cooked. Also a lovely pint, with guest real ales on draught. The landlord and his staff were also very pleasant, friendly, and made us most welcome for both visits. Even the local customers were friendly. Sorry,... More

Excellent service. Food delicious. A couple of things weren't available however enough to choose from anyway. My only criticism was the Eton mess had no meringue in. But fresh strawberries were lovely. Would definitely recommend if you were in the area.

Great food (the home-made Eton Mess is to die for!), man-size portions, friendly and efficient service, good atmosphere, and an expertly-kept pint. All this from a village pub. Magnificent - one of only a very few pub-restaurants I can recommend to others with confidence.
